I'm in a production of HSM right now, produced by a youth theatre company (not related to a school), with a cast ranging in age from 13-18, and our choreo (while not Broadway level) is actually relatively intense, to the point where some people have a hard time following it. And we KNOW to be expressive. It's not the age of the cast, it's the fact that those kids probably have no interest in theatre and are only doing the show for extra credit (plus in schools, since there are so many more things that also need funding, performing arts programs often get next to none of that money if any at all. Whereas with a youth theatre company, it's their whole purpose. They know we ARE capable of not looking like THAT)

Josh Timmins Yeah. If anyone who was in this is reading these, then don't mean to be rude, but... yea. I know this may seem biased, but our version of this is still in the works and it's better than this.
does the guy playing Troy not look a little bit like a younger joe walker ? just me? PS everyone sings amazing, one of the better versions on here. i'm directing a verson of this and this is defo something i will tell the kids to watch to get an idea of characters etc
