It’s about students from East High (where they filmed HSM) putting on a production of High School Musical the Musical for their fall musical and all of the “drama” behind the scenes of East High’s drama department. So you’re right, it’s not Troy and Gabriella or anything, it’s a new generation of kids portraying those roles onstage, but the show is mostly about them.

Wondering is an amazing song! Love it so much! Honestly, every single new song in the series is amazing! Lol.

"what is this show about?" its basically about a the original east high were high school musical was shot doing high school musical the musical. Nini (Olivia Rodrigo) gets Gabriella and Ricky (Joshua Basset) gets the part of Troy. this causes shock as Ricky is Nini's ex boyfriend but they secretly still love each other and yeah that's basically hsmtmts in a nutshell :)

They did it many times because the whole cast was watching and just kept like screaming at the end because they were so good and joshua had to walk in and act shocked and he said "well thats easy" and there was one time he ran in after they were done singing and just hugged them. He is too cute and so sweet I love him so much

I HIGHLY recommend that you watch the show! I went into thinking it would be a stupid kids show, but it has some amazing songs, good acting, and a good story. Season 2 is coming out it then next few weeks (I think) so right now is a great time to get into the show!

Born To Be Brave was my favorite song and scene in the entire show. There was just something so magical about how it can make you feel. Plus when she was like "Loser! You're not dancing." I actually agreed because even the wallflower that is me would have joined in with a song like that being sung.

So yes Hannah it is East Hight, the series takes place at the original East High. These kids are the "next generation" after the original cast. Their drama/theater teacher decides to put together High School Musical production. Throughout the TV series they're preparing for the production and just having a good time in high school.

Olivia and Joshua Basset (the boy singing the soaring song with her) had a relationship after filming the show and when Joshua turned 18 he told Olivia he would wait for her but then chose Sabrina Carpenter over Olivia. Olivia wrote drivers license based on Joshua choosing Sabrina over her and Joshua taught Olivia how to drive too. After Olivia released drivers license Joshua released Lie Lie Lie and Sabrina released Skin as responses to Olivia’s song. React to those as well!
