The height and weight measurements on Patrick’s driver’s license are very accurate to starfish in real life. One thing I’ve always found weird is that Patrick is taller than Sandy, even though squirrels are typically longer than starfish.

Poor Spongebob. He works hard, studies hard, and gets the oral test down pat. Just getting behind the wheel makes him nervous. Also Patrick was being so mean. Hes not the nicest in the later seasons

Patrick had a point about SpongeBob not being happy for him. But SpongeBob was right about the gloating. Growing up is realizing squidward was a better friend lol

this was one of the better new episodes. on the one hand I think it's really bad how Patrick constantly makes fun of Spongebob because he doesn't have a driver's license, but on the other hand I like exactly that xD

SpongeBob story feels like mine, where you try your hardest to be the best and fail because of fears, or circumstances but people like Patrick come and don't have to try at all and still ace everything even when they are not smart.

About the weird height and weight on Patrick's license, Spongebob characters are canonically super small for some reason. Patrick is 6 inches tall and Spongebob is only 4 inches tall, for example. It's only noticeable when there's comparable references to real world objects like in the movies when they go out of water.

Patrick taking the boating exam is basically the thing he did in the “Boating School” episode, only this time he’s actually right there driving the boat instead of talking to SpongeBob from his house while he drives the boat.

To be fair Patrick kind of had a point if someone failed a driving test so many times you'll get a little suspicious too especially if they're still paying for the same boating school

It's not surprising that Patrick got his license. If you'll remember, Patrick helped SpongeBob (almost) pass his driving test in season one. I forgot the name of the episode, though. Also, SpongeBob's parents look like potatoes because they're designed to look like actual sea sponges found in the ocean, whereas SpongeBob is designed to look a factory-made household sponge.

One episode I think you'd really enjoy is one called "Potato Puff" from Season 13. It's absolutely bonkers in the best way possible

I'm sure you've seen students that get different results in testing depending on the person that takes it. Spongebob is the type that may be good in the books, studying, and memorization, but always chokes at the practical due to nervousness and overthinking. Patrick barely thinks at all and rarely fears anything to be nervous about, and thus he's able to perform easier, the exact opposite of Spongebob.

Love these reactions. ☺️ I think SpongeBob is hit or miss when it comes to the knowledge portion. Depends on his mindset and how goofy he wants to be in that episode. The actual driving part is aways an epic fail though. XD I know I did great in school, except for gym; but my hand eye coordination, depth perception, and reaction time is way too bad for me to drive.

Patrick never said he was sorry for mistreating n being ugly towards Spongebob through this episode so it kinda makes the ending less emotional. As great as it is when Spongebob and Patrick see eachother happily, Patrick didn't apologize for his behavior at all.

Patrick did cheat SpongeBob to a perfect score on the first episode involving boating school.

5:12: The reason Patrick passed was because he ate SpongeBob's cards. If SpongeBob hadn't shown Patrick those cards, his chances would be 60/40 and if he ate them, SpongeBob's chances would've been 80/20 at the most. I concur with the principal about feeling bad for SpongeBob.This is very much pouring salt on an open wound.

Just SpongeBob doesn’t have his drivers license doesn’t mean he can still remember the rules of the road I’m like Patrick I watch this episode a lot and I can see why that Patrick was dumb to follow the rules. You should react to the picture day episode that episode pretty good.

i'll be honest, i don't think patrick is that much of a jerk here, or at the very least, spongebob is worse than patrick as spongebob was acting jerkish and jelous the whole time, and patrick is a bit dense not not understand he's upsetting spongebob or to watch his mouth when bragging, and that could be excused by patrick's excitement to a degree, i'd be excited and bragging a bit too if i got my licence and a new car in the same day, patrick only really started being a jerk in responce to spongebob's jelously and well.. he's still a better driver trhan spongebob, despite what he does here
