There are 20 million scooters in Taiwan, so a D shape lock is very popular to lock the wheels while being affordable. Usually bike shop will give a D shape lock as gift free along with the purchase of new scooter. A free new helmet is also the courtesy of bike shop.
Sprints have an internal handlebar lock. On my 2019 spring I can turn my handlebars all the way left and turn the key all the way left and it locks the handlebars in place. It was a major selling point for me.
@@ItsJessdMe yes. But those can be stripped. I just found , yesterday afternoon, my sprint that was stolen June 25. And the headstock is messed up. And so much damage with the ignition and seat lock bored out. As well as the battery messed up the left mirror broken off and lots of damage to the front where they got into the electronics. I was honestly so glad to take it away from the driver that was having trouble hot wiring it down my own street. He was starting it with a screwdriver and opened the seat with a steak knife. I’m actually so disgusted I don’t even know where to start
Hey Robot, its been a couple years since this video, but can you tell me if this is compatible with the 2023 GTS Super Sport model. I recently purchased one this month(Oct 2023) and im interested in this lock but the website shows up to 2022, im hoping that its just the site not having been updated.
This setup replaces the entire bar end on the left side. Haven't compared its weight to the heavier bar end weights that come with the topcases. Not sure if it would be noticeable or not.
