WOW, what a trip, and once I got 2 hours into the video, wondered to myself, this must be a Special train with only like 1 stop throughout the whole trip, these are the kinds of trips on trains I really would like, not ones where they they stop at numerous stations along the way...
Absolutely Brill, Hs2 will never get near that. The all clear and acceleration near the beginning as it leaves the built up area and drops all the other traffic is incredible What a feat of engineering. B Wild.
Not that easy. Just this part of the system was built from scratch and was designed to facilitate high speed. That's why it's so fast for so long. Other parts of the LGV lines can be hectic with long low-speed sections. But yes, HS2 will never be anywhere near this. I don't even think it will ever BE at all. Brits are idiots governed by morons.
For reference, at around the 9:00 mark it reaches the top speed of an average American intercity train, at around 15:15 it reaches the top speed of an average European intercity train. Also, 730 kilometers in just 3 hours. That's insane. Good god, what speeds.
Only on the LGV Méditertanée it gets up to 320 kmh (200 mph) which is towards the end of the video for most of the video the line speed is 300 kmh (186 mph)
Very impressive video and train journey what speed mind blowing it's a flip out where you get tu m. Aimeras by bertysolo instrumental I want a copy good music very professional video best I have seen yet wish I could drive this train what a blast that would be
Hi. Sir. I looking nice train road are driffent. Good drivers look better change. Now. Train road are speed high. That is good. Thank you janice Sheppard
( Pouce UP !
@@SpeedBird6780 but maybe not... I noticed the altitude from one of the the maps shows the height greater than Dent station which is the highest in the UK. Still I think you'd feel that gradient in your backside... 😅
@@SpeedBird6780 do you think the altimeter didn't work in the tunnel and then recorrected itself on exit?? That would make the gradient about 75m in 1km ie 7.5% which seems more plausible...
I can't help but wonder - What if you hit something at that speed? At over 180 mph there would be little left of whatever the train hit, but what about the train itself? Kill the driver? Derail? Emergency stop at the least, eh?
The track is protected by fence. No One can be along the track. A tgv at 300 km/h, if hit someone, the train will only got little damage. If it hit a car, it certanly kill the conductor but don't derail. And in all case, there is the emergency stop.
After "Avignon TGV" (Tunnel de Bompas) and before "Aix-en-Provence TGV", speed limit is 320 km/h during approx. 30 kilometers long, as experimental for East-European high speed line (Paris-Strasbourg-Germany). Speed limit change is indicated exactly at 2:49:29 (sound + three green indicators) just before the Tunnel de Bompas.
From this video I can see that the middle of France is mostly plain and boring. No offence though. I already quess what the our upcoming Rail Baltica drivers will see in most of way :)
Eva Magdalena ICE mostly travel with a max speed of 250 - 280 km/h due to operation costs and economical reasons. Only ICE 3 and the BR 407 will speed up to 300 km/h when delayed.
