Never...😂 Completely a waste line of south 24 parganas district. From majherhat it should have bent towards kalighat north south line then to gariahat then to Ballygunge station then to kasva and finally integrate with orange line at ruby. Present line is not feasible.

The parts of 24 parganas u are talking about definitely has some economic activity, but for daily work the people of behala has to travel to kolkata via train or bus or auto. The riders for such short distance would exist but not more than approx 50 per metro. Hence, the running cost would exceed the revenue and will not prove feasible again. The purple line must be aligned in the direction of max movement of behala people.

The kolkata police and Kolkata municipal corporation is well extended deep inside south 24 parganas , the drainage system and all are being installed.The proper kolkata people are not getting things repaired, neither the people of south 24 parganas getting fully functional drainage, water etc. So why was it done? Why was behala despite proposal of behala municipal corporation, was not declared a corporation? Simple politics and vote. Bt whos suffering? Both behala and Kolkata. Same goes for purple line. Rather connecting it to victoria etc it should connect to kaligaht Ballygunge kasba rubi. The direction where people go to earn bread or study. Why would one get on a bus to reach purple line and get a metro to go only few station and catch an auto again? Where as they could have easily board purple line frn rubi ..Ballygunge or kalighat ... Frm Kalighat they could have got north south line. Frm Ballyguge they would have got suburban train. Frm ruby could go to saltlake and newtown

@@thewarriorofbharati think you don't know that they can just interchange in majerat railway station to go towards em bypass or sealdah ,but what about khidirpore, mominpur area people. The south kolkata (joka,behala) people can also go towards Howrah very easily through this route. The budge budge line , orange line and blue line in enough to serve the whole area of tollygunje, park circus,ruby, newgaria, Ballygunge. No need of another line from behala towards ruby
