High Speed Video of Supersonic Ping Pong Ball 

As a table tennis player, I have always wondered about the physics at contact ... especially now that we have high-tech rubber sheets costing about $65-$85 on each side of our rackets. This rubber has some amazing characteristics, one of which, is that it can reverse the spin of the ball. I would love to see a slow motion clip of a topspin ball being returned by a high level player. The trajectory of the ball, the direction of motion of the racket, the compression of the rubber sheet, the rotation of the ball before, during, and after contact. What a dream to finally get a chance to see that! Did you know that there are so many table tennis players in the world that the only sport with more players is soccer?
