your comparison is just wrong. in a casino game theres no thrill, no excitement, at least not for a poker professional who has learnt to be not result oriented. like imagine the slot machines. you have 1 button to push and thats it. and you know, that every time you push that button, you lose an expected $2. if on the button it was written "lose $2", would you still keep pushing it? no. same stands for blackjack or roulette. as a poker pro, you know, that with every bet, you lose 2-3% of your money, that just feels bad. in gokart, i imagine, there is excitement. you can enjoy that, you have control and actual stimulus, you can play and beat others to gain glory, you can have fun with others. in blackjack, the only way to gain stimulus and excitement, is if you actually care about the outcome, aka you are a simple gambler.

did you miss that i am a poker pro? :D i have thousand dollar flips every day, losing and winning lots of money in a turn of a card, hundreds of times a day. i think I know what im talking about. you cant care about the outcome of these bets, because the EV is already determined, and eventually that is the only thing that matters. only time a poker pro should be feeling what a gambler feels with casino games, is when the potential winnings and losings in a short period of time are a very huge portion of his bankroll, or even more than that, which only happens if you are about to win a huge tournament prize. that is because thats not an often repeatable thing, you wont have a proper sample with those situations aka the outcome actually matters, because it can change your status, making you considerably richer. you dont have that playing blackjack unless you bet half of your bankroll.

also, if you get excited about winning money on blackjack, you also get impacted when losing. in fact, studies show, people are gettin around 2.5 times more sad about losing, then they get happy about winning the same amount. given that you gonna lose even more often that you win, because your EV is negative, it again, does not make sense to play, unless you are masochistic and willing to fuck up your day.
