Dude Phil is my favorite, because he is certifiably insane. He is so easy to hate but also really entertaining. @saples nailed it with him being played by Will Ferrel in an over-the-top poker comedy.

Thoughts on the first match. I wanted Daniel to win but in the pregame him saying he was going to pitch a shut out and basically disrespecting Hellmuth's game for weeks I then wanted to see Hellmuth win. Negreanu played liked a small ball nit and didn't go for the jugular when he had 96K to 4K before Hellmuth came back. Happy to see Hellmuth win. He is an insane egotistical maniac but he has a great poker game. A big part of poker is table presence and psychological advantage. Hellmuth has that in droves and you can study all the charts you want but if you don't have table presence or psychological advantage you can't win live. I would be intimidated if I ever played against some of these pros. Daniel is way too arrogant thinking he can just run over Hellmuth. I kind of like to see Negreanu lose 3 in a row. TOo many people disrespect Hellmuth's game. He is a fat slob now that eats finger food and talks while chewing but he is a great poker player. A tight nit but a good poker player nonetheless.

Phil talks a lot and so does Daniel, but you have to admit they are both entertaining and great players. I don’t even play poker, but love watching these two

Used to be a huge Daniel fan and learned a lot from him and his books over the years, but man he has become the stereotypical arrogant narcissistic Vegan liberal and I just find him to be incredibly condescending and he has certainly lost me as a fan. PH on the other hand...run into him in person, and you’ll find he is warm, inviting and easy to talk to. Daniel..lol not so much.
