NYC's infamous street football league is just like the NFL, if you ditched the stadiums for a field in the projects and replaced the Lombardi trophy with a fistful of cash. Then got rid of the pads and most of the rules designed for player safety. What it lacks in polish is more than made up for in passion, drawing participants from some of the roughest hoods in New York. "Kings of the Underground" is a six-part series that will track all of the street league teams as they vie for the Street Bowl Championship.

I was stating that these players are poor, and they are aggressive because of how shitty their life is - so they then retaliate to the only thing left for them regarding relative tangibility is their ego.
