Hell yes at finally being rewarded for your devotion to the faith route, after all those failed checks and disappointed allies! And at a 10% chance too. Amazing turnaround.
When you spot planes panic-buy some prox fuse, game mechanics let you use it immediately across the map. Is auto-loaded and turns 100mm and 130mm into great air defense weapons.
Great episode. What a disaster but it fits your gameplay theme - FAITH. What could be better to temper faith than suffering. So have faith that this is a higher power punishing your men for doubting the word of the Prophet!
I suspect one of those encrypted messages might have had you more informed of the situation at hand? Even if you only took note of the bearing it one could have pointed towards the aircraft carrier fleet's last known location. Sad times, I was so excited to see you get comfortable and start dominating with Wiffle Bat.
My like and comment. That Brutal airstrike is what makes the game so fun though! And at 18:04 you missed a perfect opportunity to say "lets get out our handy dandy notebook". And that "you know what, I'm fine" was brilliant lol
It may have helped. I still may not have had time to intercept. Biggest issue is my carriers are currently too slow. Maybe a retrofit of the fuel tank to carry to fighters that can mount AA missiles would work.
Now you'll need a new ship to greet the dawn (whenever it may arrive). With as well as the Wiffle - Thunder refit did it might be worth it to go back to Narad and get the other Yars. If you do I suggest you call it the "Echo".
Is this the first time in the game that it’s suggested the Khiva reactor is actually a Hidden People one? A LOT to unpack in the back story dept, this one!
It's a bit sad all the story hits right in the tail end of the game because it is really fascinating. The implications of what you find when you finally get to Khiva have me desperate a sequel or expansion
Aw come on Daud, the campaign hasn't stalled! There's just some refits going, look you're in spitting distance of Kivah! Even if there is no magic bunker there's still a nuclear power plant, that's enough energy to keep everyone warm and the lights running. Don't be a party pooper.
I know you've likely already done analysis on this in later videos, so I'm just going to comment with my own to see how they end up matching up with yours. My guess is that the issue was you had made so much noise in the area from previous attacks that the tactical group with the carrier had already been inbound to the area for quite some time. In this episode, it had already arrived in the area, but it hadn't activated radar, so you didn't get a warning from ELINT. Then, you launched your attack without performing a silent strike when the tactical group was already in the perfect position to counter initiate with aircraft. Thus, they launched as soon as you annihilated the garrison giving you virtually no warning. As for lessons on how to avoid in the future...maybe perform scouting runs with your plans armed with AA in surrounding cities when you've been operating in area for a day or two in game before you attempt to take further garrisons in the area?
A big part of my problem here was assuming that the aircraft carrier group that was sitting nearby had moved on and had not been sitting in that city for the whole entire game. I decided the intel I had was out of date and did not check to confirm that was the case. And so we lost a lot of resources for my mistake. The good news is this leads to the creation of my custom Paladin mk2 build.
Those were some painful losses at the end. Stick with it. I really want to see your retaliation. Are you able to direct your strike craft to multiple targets like they did to you?
No you have to rely on the pilots. Since they are all basically Mark Sayadi cultists at this point I am not holding out a lot of hope for their effectiveness!
I think I explain this in a later video but all the cargo gets left behind when you dispatch a strike fleet. So it's the ship(s) that DON'T leave. They have all the cargo.
I'm sorry.. not gonna lie .. i did giggle a bit when the airstrike took your stuff.. I know it's old but enjoying the playthrough and will look through your other playlists
@@Phrosphor Aircraft carrier groups never leave the city they spawn in. So if you get intel on one it means that city will provide air cover 2000km around it until it's neutralized
