Awesome! Is river dance basically the same thing as highland dancing? Your dance kinda looks like some of the river dance choreographies, just wondering
I don't know what an Irish Dance leap is, but in Highland, it's say what she does at 0:09. It like jumping and doing the splits at same time kinda thing. I don't know how else to describe it. Hope that helps.
Scottish Dancer 93, youtube isn't allowing me to post as a reply. So here it is: The leaps in Irish dancing come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and NAMES (different schools can use varied names to describe the same move). One of the ones done is a leap over (the name varies), others are like the jump in the air with your legs out to the side. There are a lot of different leaps and you can see a lot of them in this video "Parade of Champions Nationals 2008" by user JBluver1214 .
@midorihelenie ummm. no. not at all. it is a completely and utterly different style of dance they're really not similar in any way shape or form. just sayin.
