Christopher Lambert said it himself when the film came out don't wee it as a sequel. See it as it's own standalone movie. He also said see it after seeing highlander 1, 3, 4 then 2. Nice to know both highlanders felt they weren't proud of one of their films Christopher highlander 2, Adrian endgame and source.

WRONG!!! Highlander 2 greatly damaged the 1st's mythology, not destroyed it. Highlander: The Source truly destroys HL 1's mythology down to the last fragment. At least in HL2 there's still fighting until only one remains in a flawed manner. But HL: the Source renders the entire game useless bay saying it was all a lie. It actually makes HL 2 look Oscar award winning in every level.

Yeah but Highlander 2 killed the franchise there and then. No one cared by the time Highlander The Source was released. So in a way, Highlander the Source couldn’t do any worse....it simply flogged a dead horse.

Bad movie but GREAT SONG from an EPIC SINGER! The voice of AOR,Mr.Lou Gramm! Anyway this is the only real sequel,the only that tries to be a real sequel(in a bad but in some way original way,more science-fiction oriented.I prefer the original version not the renegade version). The others are just remakes & full of sad flash-backs from the first & only one. The quest is this:"Highlander"is a movie that don't needs sequel! For this reason the first is a cult.

am i the only one who likes both versions of this movie even though I think renegade should have been the main print? Highlander 2 could have totally worked as a legit sequel. You just got to get creative and thats the fun part.

When Lou Gramm quit Foreigner, it seemed that he probably could've had a good solo career, but it never really happened. I thought that this song would be the ticket. He had his first two solo albums out, but then he ended the momentum. If only health had not been an issue.

I agree Higlander: The Quickening was awful. However, Highlander II, The Renegade Cut was better. Not as good as the first, but better than the version released in the theaters. BTW who besides me new that Russel Mulcahy who directed the infamous Duran Duran video in the 80's directed Highlander II?

Individually, Highlander 2 is a visually insane and fun movie... but it just makes no sense in congruence to the first film. They just threw the rules out the window and went nuts. The Quickening in that respect is so hard to embrace, especially since the first Highlander is such a good one and done story. Ya make an unnecessary sequel, and right out the gate, you botch the canon? Strange. This song is a banger though.
