may he be embraced with eternal peace and love and gets eternal action with a click of two two fingers. i hope he is good with the bagpipes, i will most probably end up at the same place. you are being loved and he is watching over you. love your life, he existed for you
That song, that scene, still moves me to tears!!!!! POWERFUL. He stayed with her till the end of her life and loved her long after till the end of his.. Beautiful... They could remake this over and will never, ever, equal these actors and Queen performing the music.
There are a lot of things they are not able to say. A world without mobile phones, smart phones, Facebook, X(Twitter), but a world with Video stores and their atmosphere, the smell of LPs & VHS, Arcade Game Machines, etc. Or the overall feeling of the 80s. The kiss of a woman with a taste of smoke and chewing gum. Yes, this all only exists in my/our memory... It is gone... So I really do not want to live forever.
If you haven’t watch highlander, better do it now, you just can’t go through this world without it. It is perfect, fantasy, medieval, present and future time, Queen music, Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, awesome story. It is perfect.
The original Highlander (1986) and Terminator (1984) are based on biblical truths. The immortal soul wherein dwells the fire of love, eternal wisdom, fortitude, understanding, peace //
Could not agree more a fantastic movie I heard they post to remake it I hope they don't because this movie was perfect they would just ruin it if they did it over...
@@eeduranti the TV series created a great mess in the whole continuity of the story. In the tv series Duncan Macleod is the basic hero of the whole story and not Connor. And perhaps the movie Highlander Endgame erases the facts from the two previous sequels. Even in the movies it seems that there are parallel universes of the story!
I´m a 42 year old man, married, two kids. And this song altogether with the vid brings tears to my eyes every single time I hear it. What an incredible touching song and idea. Love you Queen, too bad Freddy died that young.
OmG...I’m 41 now, next year 42, married, 2 kids.....and all the things u wrote. U R me, but only a year earlier or younger. In a way, this song, and Freddie, will live forever, only by remembering him and the gift he gave us all, he will NEVER die, he will live 4ever in our hearts.
i remember staying up late as a little kid in the 90s just to watch the highlander series on television such a great movie its sad thought how mccloud wife grows old an he still young cause he is immortal
Everyone WANTS to live forever - but no one ever will - deal with it and make the most of what time you have! Live for the moment - for that's all there is. The past has gone, the future is unknown, now is all we have. Having said that I adore the movie Highlander and I adore Freddie Mercury singing this song. I cry every time I watch it, it gets me every time. ♥
Like most cult classics that live long after the critic reviews and middling box office returns. Still say this has the best movie soundtrack ever made.
We all will live forever, cause we´ve been in this amazing world one day and we lived our lifes the best way we can. Someway we left here something about us, memories, things we made, places we have been and our kids. Maybe one day we will back here in some other form of life to be part of the universe forever.
Imagine actually living forever!....the loss you’d experience the changes you’d see and the things you’d learn!....it would be the most rewarding thing, yet the most devastating gift a person could get!
I will live forever in spirit form. The thought of living on earth for an eternity with the corruption and human destruction, no thank you, I find the thought terrifying.
@@liamquinn1981 hi is not week hi's realistic. This world as we know it is came to an end... Human beings are part of the Divinity and yes, we are immortal despite the fact that we are fllash and blood ✌️
Sure living forever has a romance to it. You can take your time, see and experience everything you want. But how does one handle the passing of everyone they love, the losses in our lives are hard, sure our lives are short, some shorter than others, but having the ability to allow our lives to be filled with love, affection and wonder for our brief visit on this earth is a great and valuable gift indeed.
Love this song love the movie thank you to my late Uncle James Smith for the time we watch the movie together and when you passed away and I request this song to say my final goodbyes to you RIP Uncle Shem!!!!
Happy 65th birthday Freddie - thank you so much for all the music and joy you gave us! Like Connor MacLeod you are immortal and will be always in our hearts!!
From 3:50 total goosebumps. The whole song keeps reminding me how fragile and unique our lives are and how great the losses of our beloved ones. I miss you mother :(
To live in pursuit of this true love dream, not matter how painful and agonzing this path may become, is the greatest gift bestowed upon us by our dear Lord. I would like to live forever to re-live this gift at least every millenium, irregarless of the sorrow and solitude of every lonely day and even if such achievement only lasts a few minutes. Again, one true love in a lifetime may be only a dream, but that's the challenge.
I remember sitting on an overlook on the blue ridge parkway with the cd player wide open blaring this one and many others. Wow 1986 when the movie come out ANYONE ELSE FEEL OLD?? LOL
My woman is named Heather. When we get separated in a store I call her name like Connor did. She never got it for years until we watched it together..the smile was priceless
It was a rare combination . . . Sean Connery and his familiar face but mystique role as the flamboyant sword master, Christopher Lambert with cool accent, soulful eyes and a wide range of acting talents - - - then add Queen, whose heart piercing melody that fit so well with the love that grew and faded like the last rose of autumn in McLeod's bonny gal.... wow.
i saw dis when i was a lil kid ..and the act be twine both actors were phenomenal ..they really looked like they are in love ...yeah a crying video ..can make anyone tear up :)
This movie is one of the best. I always bawl my eyes out during this scene and tonight is no exception.I love Freddie and love this movie. I miss Freddie every day and listen to his music everyday. He has gone on to a greater place that all of us will go to one day. I don't fear death because I know people like Freddie will be there. Not scary at all...
Been a dedicated fan for decades and this part always makes me cry. One of many. Highlander was my first love of all things Scottish. Before Braveheart, before the Outlander series (My favorite book series past thirty years)...Discovered now I have nearly 50% Scots blood lots of Celts in my lineage. Awesome movie, phenomenal soundtrack by Queen.
If only most of you knew wat it is truly like to be immortal, to love, to kill, to laugh to share love n be loved !!!! To live beyond your family n friends without a clue of why!!!! To witness so many deaths of loved ones !!!!!! You have noooooo idea!!!!!!
I'm not a die hard Queen fan by any stretch of the imagination. But I've always liked them, I mean - who doesn't like Queen? HOWEVER.... this is the most beautiful song ever written. Put together with the scene from Highlander, I challenge anyone not to reach for the tissues. I want this played at my funeral.
i was in the highlands...i was there an this places......i hold one of the movieswords in my hand....and today, many years later.... ...i have this crazy feeling....
This is one of my all time favourite films, the music, the atmosphere but most of all the sentiment. The soundtrack was perfect & at a time my own mortality was called into question I very much related to it. Chris lambert was perfectly cast
The best band for this movie can anyone think of another singer or band to me this was there best album ever the album is its a kind of magic I love you more now than the first day we met sleep well my bonny heather
Sung by one of the greatest bands of all time, lead by Freddy, one of the greatest musical voices of all time. Also one of my favourite movies. Even though I enjoyed the following Highlander movies, None of them touched the original in greatness. I think the Queen touch helped make it something special.
Beautiful song and fantastic movie. The characters fit the roles and the music fit the movie. I don't know about living forever but for several hundred years might be intriguing. If nothing else just to see if humanity can save itself or at least see if mother nature doesn't kill us all off. They talk about killing the planet. Earth is going nowhere. We're the ones leaving. It'll go back to the animals and nature. We'll just be bones scattered all over the place.
