When the enemy has a 3-man division running Thunderer, Shikishima and Stalingrad, and they are unicum, you know it's time to put on your carry pants. Discord: / discord Stream: / flamuu Insta: / flamugram Twitter: / flamuchz

My Winrate in the Halland over 40 ranked games is 77,5%. It’s a good ship, you wouldn’t expect anything less from Sweden. I also happen to have twin citadeled a Mainz in my Yamato for 35k in my first salvo earlier today haha
I really enjoyed the analytical commentary. It's always awesome to see how someone's brain is working when they're doing something they're great at. And it helps point out what things I should focus on in my own gameplay. Very nice!
Must admit I am amazed at the predictive nature of Flamu's even at crunch times. I have watched enough Flamu vids to be a regular predictive torpedo player but I tighten up as the game gets closer. when he was 3 vs 1 I would be holding onto my torps to get a more positive lock but Flamu keeps the his nerve :)
That unicum division actually did really well considering how shit the rest of their team was. In particular that Stalingrad, squeezed pretty much the last drop out of his ship.
@@LordBruuh Yes, that was really disappointing. He let the CV alone, during a time where he was doing a usfull thing and spot flamu. A few hits from his nasty HE would have been enough.
The predictions on enemy movements and motivations was spot on. Torp prediction was outstanding. And then you take it a step further and predict the enemy division solo win rate to within 1% accuracy. Very impressive and instructive commentary sir.
Your description of a Mainz player is pretty on point. Except when I play Mainz... I blow up becasue that damn Hipper hull takes citadels at odd angles.
@@SwankySpitfire It looks like a Hipper hull but it's not. It's got 25mm all around and that makes a big difference. I run Mainz with propulsion and steering, 'cause you gotta do a LOT of duking and dodging.
@@SwankySpitfire so true, Hindenburg is the worst. Sometimes i only get ops on it with high caliblre bbs and in the next match i smack it for 25k with yoshino while Hindenburg is angled. Just weird
@@MK-wx5vu Last night, I dev struk a Hindi in ranked for over 50k AP plunging volley in my Thunderer in the start of the battle. I felt so sad that I can do this and there was no way for him to dodge or survive. My tactics revolve on waiting someone to engage in a gunfight with my target to force him in to a maneuver so I have a predictable move to aim at so he really didn't had any chance at all...
It works for me and only yesterday I caught a Swedish RPF torp myself ... Apart from some perfect ambush scenarios and the occasional smoke camping idiot, launching torpedos at a moving DD is a question of luck anyway. Since RPF gives you the same useful information as if you could see the enemy - a general direction where to aim the fish - it's well worth the risk.
I really appreciated all of your real-time commentary in this one. Regardless of whether or not you were making a mistake, it was interesting hearing you work through the match. Well played, sir.
yeah fuck that. But on the other hand there is no way Schliefen stays the way it is. it will be neutered to have only slightly better secondaries than Pommern and GK in the future.
It's always fun to watch Flamu drop into a more focused mode in a match. Like here, I would argue he puts one leg of the "serious pants" on. Really get to see how and why he's one of the best WoWs players out there when he wants to be.
Hi Flamu. I played this game many years ago and have tons of ships and captains, and is trying to return to the game. But holly molly there is a lot of changes, and it seems most guides is out of date? Can there be a updated captain skill discussion for Japanese Captains perhaps so i can find a way back in to the game. Or any hints on where to look because its a mess to find out what everything is. /Confused I Think i stick to Hasidate =D
I just noticed something crazy about this game, Flamu somehow traveled 97km during the match, in a ship that with speed boost gets to about 40kt, which is about 74km/h, but he somehow did 97km in 20mins??
Well Unicum isn't something you're really "considered", you either are or you aren't. It's based on winrate and PR (personal rating), here's a rough chart that's only winrate based: i.imgur.com/JNHX9tl.png Of course playing in a division of good players inflates winrate, therefore solo winrate is higher valued than division winrate. Low-tier winrate is also not valued very highly, seal-clubbing isn't considered as much proof of skill. Considering I've been averaging 67-69% winrate solo in top tiers across the 3 servers I play (EU/CIS/NA), I don't really have much doubt that I'm super unicum.
@@Flamuu I got you, haha. Thanks for the chart. You're the only WOWS RU-vid channel that I watch regularly, because you seem to be the most 'real'. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.
So I know that, normally speaking, RPF is not recommended, but since the subs released I slotted it. It has allowed me to get some cheeky kills on subs who have no clue that I am actively hunting them.
I have a guy in my clan who is a highly respected DD player and he insist that RPF is useless because you should have map awareness for this. I was just silent and let him have his point. NOW YOU COME ... AND SHATTER HIS WORLD!
Rpf is never useless for any kinds of DD hunter builds, or, if you have super low concealment like Halland. Rpf is a comp mode skill, it is kinda useless in Asia Random battles, you have cvs 99% of the matches, sometimes 2 each teams. It is useless for something like a Khaba, Merceau etc.
The one thing I disagree with you on is when you say that short range guns have an advantage: Longer range guns (Via taking the 4pt gunnery skill) would have gotten you kills at the end of the match when you thought your torps would kill and they didn't. Also at long range even the Halland is a difficult target. Pan Euros are also pretty good at setting fires which works the same at long ranges. Love your playstyle though and enjoy/learn from your teachings. Oland is by far my favorite ship and I'd enjoy seeing what playstyle you'd use in her. CAN I TALK YOU INTO AN ""OLAND VIDEO""????? [BB68]Sea_Tiger_59 N/A
@@malovent538 It's not easy to hit at 11k, he also had plenty of HP and heals left if he did get blapped, he also would have killed it before it got a off a shot. There is more advantage to long range guns than there is to short range guns "in every ship".
Depends on your playstyle, really. He was only taking short range engagements (obv also because of the range) and the fact that he went dark after each fight was a plus he might not have had with a longer range. Also gets the fun police easier involved if you're spotted for longer. At any rate, what would you give up to use the 4 points for the range?
@@ChaosD1988 Agreed: playstyle dependent. My playstyle is differing than his and I prefer Oland or Oster over Halland. My mentioned preference is because Longer range guns really help me in Radar games which are of many (nearly all). Cheers:)
To be honest. I m a good player, i like when an enemie dd has RPF... :P (and i m either a BB or cruiser - you can retrack the DDs position.., works quite well for me)
How is rpf useless ? Do you just say things to be on a hate wagon with no explaination ? Rpf is def useful . May not give you the op info you want bit it does help alot in certain circumstances .
