Flamu I appreciate the fact that you are one of the only CC's that I have watched that hasn't been trying to tow the company (WG) line. Your ability to break down game play and point out fundamental problems are bar none. You have helped me immensely in the past and have made me able to play this game without rage quitting forever multiple times. It's time for you to do it again! ;)
The problem isnt rhat CVs are so overpowered but how badly AA is skewered. The destroyer has up to fice 5/38 dp guns and only one of those funs gives a flack cloud. Every dp barrel should produce a flack cloud. These ships are operating at less than 30% aa capability.
Hahahah. 'Sarcastrophic' . 25 fires in a game, crazy OP, even Conqueror not like that. This is already without TB. That kind of carpet bombing if to be available for RN CV, sure require longer bomb reload while on flight.

@@lycon7000, I know this is kind of an unpopular puffin right now, and I get it, but I've been able to shoot down way more planes since the rework. I'm not advocating the rework. I, too, think it sucks that they have unlimited planes now (among other reasons of course), but to not play simply because you see other people hating it is not the right way to go about gaming. If you give it a shot and still hate it, I won't blame you for one second, but I still think you should give it a shot. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you a fun experience. Good luck, captain. o7

@@lycon7000 , I'm sorry your experience has been devoid of fun (to put it lightly). If I came off as disingenuous, I apologize. The way WG went about this rework really does make me sad, but I'm trying to make the most of it and it is simply my humble opinion that I think most people are overreacting. Maybe it's because I'm still a fairly new player and my highest ships are only tier 7, but I do play mostly DDs and I haven't found the new CVs to be any worse to deal with. I think they're still insanely OP, but no more than they used to be. Now they're just OP in a way people haven't gotten used to yet (not that we should have to "get used to" it). I just think the best way to go about voicing our concerns to WG is to record our games, document the moments that truly showcase how OP the ships are, and then explain why these moments showcase what we are claiming. This, in combination with not spending any more money on the game until they fix it, is imho the best way to go about fixing a once beloved game. I want us all to be able to enjoy this game together. Giving up on it is not the way we go about that. Again, this has just been my opinion. I know your passionate hate is well deserved and genuine, I simply want us to move forward from here, not backwards. If you read all of this, thank you for your time. Best of luck
After the rework, the gameplay indeed is so much more fun and engaging. I cannot wait for RN CVs for even more balans. I can only hope that we'll get a HE spamming subs one day. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for you're unfiltered fun and engaging learning video. Gosh this game got so much better, I mean what's not to love about denying tactical movements from the start. Or being actively killing ships within minutes of starting the game. The insta rinse and repeat button (oi start afresh from the deck) is also a well thought out concept. Why do we players deserve such a awesome understanding of what makes a game fun by the game developer (:insert heart icon) .. (disclaimer for the not so well versed people.. /s is implied and intended)
I wonder how Soviet CVs will look like - I guess they will have nuke bombers. Drop one nuke in the enemy spawn and every ship within 10 km is instantly oneshotted.

Meanwhile, iChase is literally spam dropping Torps in Haku and getting 150k+, and the other T10s are breaking 450k damage records. It's not just Audacious which looks broken.
That was a funny and boring vid because that game play looks boring. But I have seen lots of vid that are 200k - 400k damage on almost every ship. Beside most of still cant DB :)

This ship is almost final in my opinion. At the end, you exactly pointed out my concerns I have for this ship. I would recommend WG to give Indomitable the T10 british TBs from Audacious, because they are already on the weaker side with the short range and it would give the Indomitable a unique flair, without buffing her to much. Overall a nice example of an average game flamu. KAPPA

Needs buffs, the rockets did 0 dmg this game. I'd suggest... make the rockets deal flooding dmg. For flavor. As without torps, this CV has no access to flooding dmg, and this is a serious weakness.
Rockets should cause both fire and flooding because the rocket will penetrate through the ship and create holes in it everywhere. Also, repair party should not work on these floodings, to add flavor.
@@milionST Torps already deal citadel damage. Just take a torp into your mid section, you won't be able to heal practically anything, unlike if you get hit into bow/stern
@@Poctyk Yeah, you're right. Let us consider another fun mechanic - Soviet or RN torp hits you amidship, and then splits it in half. Now you gotta switch between stern and bow sections and commandeer them separately while slowly sinking AND burning at the same time. BBs can be broken to three sections. And while you are sinking, Soviet giant squids slowly take away your crew to underwater gulag. I believe this mechanic would simplify this game and make it even more fun, just like glorious CV rework.
So, it looks like WeeGee is keeping their style with RN-ships, to make them the most annoying and brain-dead thing ever. DDs: Smoke with like 0 cooldown ; CLs: smoke and just shoot ; BBs: HE ; CVs: EVEN MOAR HE
Except with the DDs the smoke lasts the least out of all DDs and is only an escape tool. the CLs have like 19mm of armour at best and take HE damage to a ridiculous level. BBs...eh the Conq sure but the Lion has same accuracy as a German BB meaning most of its shells are going to miss. Oh AND they only have 32mm of armour (including the Conq) meaning while they can dish out HE damage...they also can't take it. I've seen Conqs go down in a about 30 seconds if they were focus fired by a Des Moine or an IFHE Worcester even with the heal.

@@la_potat6065 25mm steel armour was literally the thinnest horizontal steel armour on the ship. It thickened to about 145mm for the main deck armour and 230mm over the vital spaces - over the citadel. No teak involved mate.
@@bairdrew The issue here is actually they stupid HE damage mechanics in this game. The rockets are striking the thin weather deck and doing massive damage. The main armor deck is a couple decks below the top weather deck and is protecting the citadel. Again we have a case of a ship taking massive damage and sunk when its vital areas are intact.
@@Compcube oh yeah don't get me wrong, I know it happens with most of the ships in the game due to how arcade-like it is. It just really struck me in this instance as the KGV class ships were, to be frank, ridiculously strongly armoured. Only Yamato was better protected, and only then due to their sheer size.

They are almost like Arty when it was first put into the game. When they vould almost instantly aim and fire a HE shot that would do half or more damage to an enemy tank.
Love the choice of music Flamu, subtle in the background, not too overbearing, To Glory, by Two Steps from Hell was a good choice for the start, its a pity its only a few mins long. that epic orchestral style music is just awesome.
This video shows two things that the British high tier CV's are OP and that DD's have almost zero to fear from CV's except for getting spotted. I dont know why WG does not make so that there is only 1 squadron of each type of plane available and if you lose it or drop your payload you will have to change to another type or just wait until it returns or re-arms. Make the losing planes truly meaningful.
Its just non-stop fun thanks to the new CVs! I can't wait for the premium German CV equipped with the Fritz X guided missile! The can't-miss precision of guided munitions combined with 1,400 kg (3,000 pounds) of AP is sure to spread joy to all!!!! One shot any BB, just press the "delete enemy ship" key and deploy your Fritz X. Repeat as necessary. I just hope they don't restrict the Fritz X to reward ships for the supertesters.
Nice to see how the gameplay has changed for CVs, I've sucked badly with them, so maybe this is.. a chance to get better with them. Nice to see you had lots of fun there, pity about the others lol
When they said RN CVs would be carpet bombing, I assumed it'd be in a rectanular parrtern, the boms would have crazy high damage, but be insanely innacurate. It's an idea that made sense to me. But this is WarGaming. I REALLY need to stop expecting them to make sound decisions.
how can u move forward with the dive bombers once u clicked? if i start the attack with my US dive bombers, they wont move much further. or is it something special of the RN bombers?

Oh lord, compared to other CVs' divebombers the RN bombers really are easy mode. And the damage one those on the Indomitable is pretty damn nifty, plus the firechance looks juicy. Torpedobombers? Who needs torpedobombers.
So they're basically rocket squadrons with HE bombs. I get the feeling there's some balancing yet to be done on this monster. Also lol that faildiv. Were they trying to division anchor?
yeah seems not quite there yet the whole cv rework you still have to press the 2 key 2 times to start bombers and fly to the ships they could improve that i mean yeah 260+ knots with boost you lose precious dps in that regard. If you suggest a buff Flamu could you ask WG if i can have the option to change all my consumables to DCP would appreciate it ;)
- airplanes do not need service/reload time (all other ships have cooldown time on repair) - flak can be dodged by dive/rise - AA is non overlapping so either you do zero flak damage or the planes are already on you and any ship with weak short range suffer, even with DFAA as planes fly over fast - AA sector 10-12s switch time makes it unusable if there are 2 CVs in the game - press F key to return planes and voila, they are not vulnarable to AA anymore. Any planes with big alpha can kill a cruiser first run. Fortunately T4 CV still have many problems, but T8-T10 CV plays like Artyom with the ushanka... These issues went through testing without anybody questioning. Are these guys afraid of management? Were they beaten up, Flamu? You have been there... A lot must be fixed in 0.8.1...
question about flying my lex (started playing CVs again after they took away my RTS mode) do I dodge the flakk or aim, because i only seem to fight ships of teir 8 and higher so i cant do both also fuck euro DDs
Usually I look at videos of Flamu doing 200k+ and think "yeah but no normal player will be able to replicate this". This one...it's not going to happen every time but there wasn't any insane skill on show here, which means this ship is stupidly OP. The new CVs may be more fun for CV players, but they're much less fun for everyone else. So only 98% of the players in the game now have a worse time, which is good right? Obviously I'm aware that a unicum player in a CV is now less capable of making a game completely one sided by being 1000x better than the enemy CV. Now, they've removed most of the counter-play available for an opposing CV, so it's crap for both sides, yay!
Thanks for the advise flamu, next time i‘ll just dodge your planes. They clearly struggle on landing accurate strikes on maneuvering targets. Wargaming please buff :D (i‘ve been the Tirpitz)
So if I get it right in the new meta : I only get out the Bertin, I fit onto her the ramming flag and the spood beast flag, and I go hurl myself into the nearest enemy because that's the only way not to get rekted nowadays. Seems about right, fun and engaging.
What I don't understand is I just watched iChase review this ship and call it complete garbage, but then your video starts playing and I witness this beautiful performance. Has the ship been buffed since his review or what?
Just wondering are the planes you don't control and return to your carrier unkillable?? You send them home they fly straight to cv unharmed or is there a way to set way points for them?
as a BB captain I see that my absence from WoWs brought me now into better times. This battle shown is a relieft to be for sure! Only point of criticism is the lack of irony by the commentator ...
It would be nice if they would make CV matchmaking +/- 1. I know there are more important things to balance, but it would at least prevent some imbalanced match ups.
Based on your videos and iChases videos, the first nerf step is to limit the total number of CV planes (no longer unlimited)... or radically slow the new planes spawning. Second reduce the number of torp planes in a squadron at tier 10.
