People can talk about Houston’s defense but this team can score on ANYBODY. Anybody in their starting lineup can score 20+ on a given day. Like he said, the MVP could be anybody from game to game. Their best game beats ANYBODY else’s best game on a neutral floor. And if they play in Brooklyn and Boston those will be HEAVY UConn crowds
Alex Karaban developing into an anchor for this squad. This team will be great. Just gotta handle the press better and make open shots at the end there.
I don’t think he’s going unnoticed by NBA scouts - don’t wanna think about what could happen that would stop him from going after this year. Great for him, bummer for UConn fans!
I agree with handling the press. When trapped our guards have to go towards the ball. Diarra is a better ball handler but isn’t a great foul shooter which is why he was on the bench during the stretch.
It’s my opinion that Karaban this season has been recognized as a key matchup by opponents and thus when focused on, isn’t as effective. Last season as a freshman he wasn’t regarded as highly by defensive schemes so he really showed out. Now coaches have to decide who to try to key on: Newton? Spencer? Clingan? But when they make the wrong choice, Karaban can do some damage. I do think this is what scouts will see, and maybe suggest he needs another season to show how he can do when the center of a defensive game plan. He’s such a smart player. Once in the league, I could seem him playing ten years or more.
@@marciaformica1787oh I’m not questioning his ability to make the league I meant anchor as in like big body plays because he used to be more of a perimeter guy.
Keeping a close eye on Diarra next game. Love how he always plays hard, but he was a bull in a China shop today, playing way too fast. Wanna see him get his composure back
No way, diarra is exactly what you need. Change of pace guy, adds energy, plays defense, does the little things. A little ball of fire that knows how to push the ball coming off the bench. Terrance Samuel, but better.
@@markoo6351 that’s what I mean, he’s been what you described pretty much all season. Last night he looked like a freshman, playing way too fast and out of control with the ball in his hands, trying to do too much. Would like to see him press less with the ball in his hands next game
Why are people saying this? Diarra played outstanding yet again. 9 P 6 R 2 A on 50% shooting and 1-1 from 3. Only had 2 turnovers? And he played a ton of minutes due to foul trouble. I’m not sure what game you were watching😂
First road win against a ranked team since 2014?? Really hard to believe given how good Uconn is. This team is fun to watch- the talent and effort and team cohesion.
Really wish you guys never started making these highlight videos. Storrs South did a much better job you excluded some of the best plays from last night
@@bamabum123456789 Saying Diarra played horrible obviously exposes your knowledge of the game. I already responded to your other comment about it breaking down exactly why that’s a ridiculous statement
