The biggest problem NZ have is a lack of really competitive regular opposition beyond the Aussies. They're getting time on the ball and gaps and space on the outside that just won't be there against England & France.
Those 7s ladies fit in and played really well in the 15s code... Ruby Tui, Portia Woodman, Sarah Hirini and Stacey Fluhler... Good luck to the Black Ferns SisterHood in the World Cup
Great skills, brilliant passing and offloading, and the vision and awareness of team mates close by, is something to behold in this team. Japan did not give up but the Black Ferns were on song here. Really looking forward to the quality of games we have coming up soon.
Great performance by our girls! But you have to be impressed by how the Japanese ladies didn’t give up! Played hard until the end! Can only be proud of the heart they showed!
congratulations all Black Ferns youre the great and the best players in the world i love you guys and i love to warch every games may God bless you all always
@@Wolfsong27FlyHalfFullHeart Yeah they've being saying that for the last 7 World cups. How about we wait and see. You guys already assumed England won without a ball being kicked. Oh the irony 🙄
@@meref9973 Don't think anyone is taking it for granted. However England are world number 1 and on a record winning streak. We all know how knockout rugby can go, I'm definitely nervous but excited to see how the Red Roses go. Looks like NZ are peaking well, and France have pushed the Roses hard in each of the last few games.
absolutely brilliant! That all black n#13 is a general in the works. Excellent game and very entertaining. Really looking forward to the red roses vs the black ferns. Now that's gonna be a nail biter for sure. 100% respect for these ladies who leave nothing on the field. RESPECT
The skills of these All Black Ferns Wahine is amazing but more so our Black Ferns Sevens, their skills and pace are exceptional and the Art of Deception in the game of 7's will always give our Wahine the Edge, that is why they are The World Rugby Sevens Champions for 2023 and NZ Black Ferns going back to back World Rugby Champions 2022.
A training run pretty much for the Ferns compared to the wahine maori themselves in Fiji yet still a win-win scenario for NZ, Japan, and the Fijiana respectively in world cup warm-up preparations.
In 2017, New Zealand defeated Hong Kong, the silver medalist at the Asian championships, 121 to 0. In the 1998 World Cup, New Zealand defeated Germany, 134 to 6. After that, Germany disbanded its women’s team. One year later, Germany also disbanded its men’s team, so devastating was that victory. Despite this margin, Japan is on the rise, and will probably go home proud of the 12 points they scored against the greatest sports team in history. Being the most successful team in Asian history, Japan should be back in 2025 when the World Cup is hosted by England. Persistence is probably their greatest attribute as a nation.
Japan badly outplayed but still managed to score two good trys .more games needed for these smaller playing countries if you want to grow the game.our girls too good.
There was at least one situation at 03.17 where an All Black committed obstruction and prevented a Japanese player from defending as another All Black scored a try. In the men's game the try would have been disallowed.
I don't understand why the 2 kickers, I'm sure someone will explain. I would have thought if she was good enough to kick from out wide, why not take the kicks from in front. I could understand if it was from half way but just a conversion?
Common theme in Men's rugby. Jordie Barrett for NZ and Reece Hodge for Aust, two names that spring to mind, that step up for the longer kicks. Conversions from wide out are much longer kicks than from in front. Generally the kicker who is considered the more accurate is going to take the kicks comfortably within their kicking range.
unfortunately the tight 5 weakness that was exposed last year by Eng and France was still there against this Japanese team. But there has been a huge improvement in heads-up play, skills and execution. The ladies will need to play quick and avoid set-pieces against the English
Good test Black Ferns, nearly 100 points ,Woodman and Tui have to start on the wings for the first test of the world cup and the big games. And midfield stay with Fitzpatrick at 12 but with Fluhler at 13,Holmes best 15 and great kicker.,Other 15 in squad not sure, like Tubic the 2nd 10,why only 2 but?,but can play 15 too.
@@DarkMoonWayfarer That game was Japan, still think Fluhler's exp in BF and 7"s for years, make's her the best choice for 13 with Fitzpatrick at 12,she can play 13 too,exp needed against the English, french, aussie's etc ...,du Plessis back up and future 13.
Not sure what a slaughter like that does for women’s rugby, especially in Japan. Must have been demoralizing. Good to see at least one All Black supporting the Black Ferns.
England were the favourites in the last World cup. Their forwards were going to smash the Black Ferns but we all know what happened. They couldn't keep up with the speed in which NZ played. We can apply the same scenario this time around. They have a good team but can they keep up with the speed of the Kiwi's. Let's wait and see.
@@DarkMoonWayfarer ayesha will get her turn, shes a great player in her own right. Will be woodmans swan song most likely , ayesha should be in the team for a lot more years.
All our National teams, take no prisoners. Yet where the glory in score slaugher, non really, yet shame, in strenth, who you us monsters shall slaughter yous on the paddock, is that the care of sports participation, fear us. What arena, of sp0rtmanship caring allows that monster, how my new contract.
The northern hemisphere always talk themselves up but who won the most World cups?. The Black Ferns won 5 of the 7 all of them overseas. This is the first time they played the cup in the southern hemisphere. England were favourites in the last World cup and the Black Ferns smashed them 😂😂
@@DarkMoonWayfarer "they will have to kick to the corner and use line out drives" yes and I am expecting NZ to throw a bit of that back at them as well. It's a cliché I know, however NZ, to close the gap that appeared on last years northern tour, will have to be strong at scrum and lineout with an accurate kicking game. Only if they get that right will their attacking game, they are clearly wanting to play, will come to the fore.
Ferns really needed to play a couple of games against a good under 15 boys team to get them ready for England and France. This game only benefited Japan.
