Inspirational. The strength, vision, speed of pass and belief. So many youngsters in the crowd loving it. Maybe one or two of them will be a red red rose in the future. Best of luck away at France next week ladies.
That was a brilliant display from England. I'm not sure what our Irish lassies were doing ! We were annihilated ! That was extremely impressive . Well deserved. Congratulations England women !
Ireland did not deal with the speed and pressure England brought. This caused thm to have to kick far to often. The game plan was not right Ireland needed to be much braver into contact after receiving the ball. Looking at one of the biggest differences in all 4 games so far England always have a run/kick option set up. Englands backs are not afraid to take the ball into contact. This then creates a lot of space for that back 3 to explote.
@@simonglancy7070Squidge Rugby sort of predicted this in his 6 nations vid a couple weeks back. He said that Wales have become better at damage limitation against top level teams, after playing higher level opposition in the WXV1....and that Ireland, being champions in WXV3, have learned how to win against opponents around their level. He thought that Ireland would be worse against England compared to Wales vs England. He's right, Wales kept the score down against England. Ireland couldn't do that, yet against Wales, Ireland excelled.
This was simply amazing !!! This english team is not only very solid as usual but very fast , with a lot of individual talents . They will win the tournament for sure
Holy Christ the Red Roses turned it up! The fact that Ireland had hammered Wales and came close to France in the previous games….. keep hammering it home Roses! 🌹 🏴
The Irish ladies team are a relatively new team AND have had a win ...SO no shame on losing to our England team who are on top form ...! YOU will learn much from this game ! What a difference a year could make ..you played your socks off !!
The Mitchell project seems to be bearing fruit. Kildunne was outstanding, pacy, elusive, defensively solid and offensively astute. Jones and Heard are a great pairing, physical and creative and then, and then! Emily scarrett come off the bench! Crikey. So entertaining and inspiring for the thousands of young women and girls watching today.
@@michaelbaker7499they should create some sort of tournament to decide this...maybe they could play for a cup or something...they could call it the rugby world cup?
…what a helluva game the tempo was mind boggelling and the passion of the English Roses as infectuous as it was emphatic…‼️ WELL DONE most MOST entertaining, thank you The level of support play and speed of passing and alternating direction (‘this way, that way’!) was hugely inspirational and absolutely great to watch Thanks stacks, again🥂 keep it up…Twickenham was happy❗️ 👊🔥 🪖
2 x World Champions, 19 x 6 Nations Champions and 1 x WXV Champions showing why they are the World Number 1. Utterly dominating, free flowing rugby at home in Twickenham where they belong. Kildunne is a very special superstar and yesterday she was phenomenal.
it is and this is with a lot of poor ref;ingg go agianst England. Think what some of these scores should have been if the ref gets certian calls right. Just looking at this game Ireland should have been down to 14 players after dragging a maul down. England legally stopped a maul on the line and should not have been down to 14.
@@JaemanEdwards It was neither "singling out" or "obsessed" 2 people agreed that she is a great rugby player and the OP even made a comment about the team. Anyway isn't that the way of sports, certain people get the spotlight, deserved or not.
@@EndertheWeek I think she's a great player but overrated. No kick game and terrible at linking with her support. In sevens Kildunne was good but not great. As were Aitchison, Rowland, and Jones. It's amazing how good you can look with such a dominant pack.
WTF .......Kildunne blistering pace, quick support at the ruck, not afraid to tackle and solid as a rock. Outstanding player. Dow incredible hand off and pace to score tries she really has no right to. I see Aitcheson as Englands weak link, her kicking is woeful and her defence half hearted at best ? France will provide a real test !
England's discipline call into question again... What bullshit.. I think everyone is just looking harder at us to penalise more and make the games closer.... 😂😂😂😂. Guess what.....NOT WORKING! 😂 Come on Red Roses keep going strong.
No, they are not looking harder at England and anyone who thinks that us deluded. England's players have been caught breaking the laws if rugby and punished appropriately.
What a fabulous performance - well played Red Roses. The Meg Jones/Tatiana Heard partnership worked so well that I can't see Emily Scarrett being selected before either of these. I hope that Holly Aitcheson, who is playing at the top of her game, finds the kicking boots she wore in NZ during the WVX tournament where I don't think that she missed a conversion.
An American football is smaller than a rugby ball. The women should use a smaller ball. Also, they could stand nearer to the goal when taking a conversion; they kick to far away.@@user-br1bg6ld7i
Scaz is overrated. Missed multiple tackles in the world cup final. The lock got the blame right at the end but Scaz contributed to that loss more than anyone.
@@JaemanEdwards WTF are you talking about? The lock (Abbie Ward) did not get the blame! As for Emily Scarratt, there was a 2 on 1 situation when she could not commit to a tackle. Strange that you don't mention Lydia Thompson at all.
@@joyfulzero853 That dummy pass from Stacey Waaka sold Scaz up the river and won us the world cup (yet again). It was the 'try from the end of the earth". A beautiful moment. Thanks Scaz.
Need to keep that pack improving, the back three look good but it help's that the forwards can produce dominance over the opposing pack. And it's not because they are bigger girl's it's their work ethic and dedication to improve.
Wow. This is what you call a steamroller. Where in the world was the Irish defense???? It's like England was alone out there. It would be interesting to see a NZ-England match, to see who would win.
We've seen it time and time again this era. Home or Away, barring a lot of circumstances going NZ's way, it's usually England giving NZ a beat down. NZ received a beat down with probably a poor england side in November. Now, I think England would hit 50/60 regularly on them.
@TheCourage89 I think it would be pretty even but wow, NZ would have to play their A+++ game. Now I'm scared for my French team against England for the last match of these 6 Nations. LOL
New Zealand with their experienced sevens stars back are like a different team. And with the advent of professional women's rugby, England no longer have quite the advantage they had. And at world cups things happen differently. England struggled to beat France and Canada before losing the final to New Zealand. At world cups. The Black Ferns just have England's number.
@@TheCourage89not really, 10 of England's squad played in the 2017 world cup which NZ won. (So they're from a previous era) There's two main reasons for this gap (which is closing). 1) England turning professional 5 years before NZ. 2) Covid. Not sure if the English fans understand exactly what happened during covid in NZ. During the lockdowns here the Black Ferns played no international rugby for over 2 years. Their return to rugby was two games against England in 2021, where the gap between the two was huge. They managed to pull off a miracle to win the WC but we could see the gap again in the WXV1 last year. The gap is smaller and NZ were missing a few players and to be honest, had a terrible WXV tournament. If you underestimate NZ this coming WC, then you are a fool, because there's much more investment, there's more contracted full-time players, there's more time to prepare. Plus Wayne Smith has returned for the next couple of years as an advisor for the team.
Scarratt de retour. Fais ch...!!
Don't underestimate the France team, Next week, don't be disappointed if you lose the tournament because it will be a close match. The 2 teams as for New Zealand, are at the same level and are the 3 best teams in the world at the moment.
@@timothelancien6542Australia will be at the same level come next world cup. They beat France last year... they've secured professional contracts now and finally have a full-time coach. They were being coached by a part-time school teacher when they beat France last year...kind of unbelievable right?
@@DarkMoonWayfarer I’m not arguing the Ferns aren’t a good side? Never mentioned anything about competitions etc. it’s very black and white. Regardless of everything you just said, The Ferns have a lower overall win ratio which proves my point. Red Roses are statistically a more successful team when it comes to win ratio. I’m sure if the Ferns played games, they would be higher but they haven’t?
Well, there are 40,000 women Engand rugby players, but around 4,000 women playing in Ireland. There's a lot more money being pumped into the womens game in England too. Proud, as always, of the Irish performance - some terrific moments, but far too many missed tackles. England women much bigger stronger and faster - it may have been a big score but its early days for Irish womens rugby.
Stop making excuses. New Zealand has the same population as you, and they are world rugby champions. Twickenham is the home of rugby. England are bound to raise their game there.
@@Stand66335,000 registered females playing rugby in NZ, but that's all ages. Not sure how many senior players there are. But you cannot deny that early financial investment is the main reason for England's growth in women's rugby. But that will level out of the next few years, so enjoy it while you can.
These comments … let’s face it you have a Team that’s been professional for over 10years full time .. This Ireland team are still working regular jobs and have only been handed professional contracts within the last year .. England are expected to win grand slam after grand slam at this point it’s pointless having them in it the tournament, the only game that has some comeptiviveness will be France and again England should be winning
It's a silly tournament. What they should have done years ago was not try to copy the men's tournament. Instead have a couple more teams and have two tiers. WXV is more interesting because there's actually competitive matches.
was bored so I have looked it up Championship wise England have essentially sealed 6 in a row with a try scored to conceded ration of 38-2 ............. and have only lost 2 of their last 43 women's six nations games .... really unbalanced competition idk how anyone watches
The red roses are somehow both everything wrong and everything right with women's rugby. On one hand, they've been professional for significantly longer than any other team in this competition. On the other hand, they're constantly setting the bar of standard for the women's game.
Hopefully France will give us a much sterner test, but it looks like we’ve found another gear (that we showed small signs of in the previous 3 games) and are improving much faster than anyone else. Thats not what the competition needs, but it was an awesome display
Speaking as a irishman..kudos to England they can play...women's rugby in ireland is played by a tiny pool of women...so much coverage on both television and radio in ireland.. for let's face it... very poor skill levels and low levels of athleticism ..sports played in much bigger female numbers..like badminton..tennis..running etc..with world class competitors get next to no coverage on television or radio.
The issue with women's sport is that they don't get a decent salary which means they are having to do other jobs to earn money and do training when they can (i.e. after work & at weekends) in the sport they love. England women rugby players started to get a minuscule £24,000 pa from 2019 so could focus more on training. Ireland, Wales and Scotland women only got 'professionalised' in 2022. So there are a few years to catch up and in Ireland they can get as little as €15,000pa when they play for Ireland - so probably need to have other work. Hopefully in time this will all get much better and the crowds too. 💫
Their sevens team, some of who played this game, won the recent HSBC Perth Sevens tournament. Their first win in history. So it ain't all doom and gloom in Irish women's rugby.
It's a very Minority sport....with very little public appetite for it..yet it gets prime time exposure ad nauseum ...on all platforms...I'm sure the irfu could spend the money on grass roots rather than this pure mule and get far more bang for their buck...a irish lady is over 60s European champion at badminton sport played by thousands and not a word about it on rte tv or radio..
So looking at yet more poor ref'ing Englands maul where ireland come in from the side and illgally bring down the maul "advantage england", England pressure over the top of Irelands more and stop it the cnter of the Irish players then collapses from the effort of the england forwards, totally legal. Yellow card England penalty try. It does seem in the first 4 games the refs have been instructed to get england down to 14 for any reason. Very poor. The other teams that are not france are not even close to th same level and keeping the scores down this way does not help these nations get any better. But credit to England in all 4 games no matter how many terrible calls go against them they keep on destroying whats in front of them.
What are those god awful looking support stanchions that have suddenly appeared in the lower tier of the stadium? I hope they're not a permanent feature.
