Perfect Weather and a Folk Festival Vibe Made for a Magical Summer Evening in Mayo Park for the Second Down By The Riverside Show of the Season.
It's an amazing thing to witness when one person with mad guitar skills, an emotive voice, and a collection of poignant songs, can hold an audience in the palm of their hand. That's exactly what singer/songwriter Charlie Parr orchestrated at the second Think Bank Down by the Riverside show of the 2023 season to an estimated crowd of almost 4,000 people. Rochester's own The Walking Beat started things off with a set of well crafted and beautifully executed songs, reminding us just how much talent we have right here in Rochester. Followed by an incredible set from Mr. Parr, showing us that it doesn't always take a wall of sound to move an audience in a festival setting.
