"The assiduous will have the need, they saw first the seed of success, they are our master and welcome welcome welcome". Thanks LCW also the opponent for such a close match.
If you look at the statistics, Lee Chong Wei is the second-best player of ALL time. Unfortunately, he career overlaps with the best player of all time.
The pace of this match was unreal. There were so many fast and strong players in this era like Du Pengyu, Tien Minh Nguyen and Tommy Sugiarto in his prime.
@@adir4587 Because badminton nowadays is mostly playing long rallies and waiting for the chance. Players don't want to commit to attack as much as back then. Badminton back then has more injection of pace.
@@jimyang2915 soon after they too will get butt fcked by the next generation. Todays badminton is not as intense as the 2000-2013 generation. Maybe cuz the lack amount of quality competitive players?
This was absolutely amazing, even better than the final. I think LCW tried too hard to beat DU Pengyu and that affected to the final. He has retired in the third game and the game didn't too fierce as it was in semifinal.
hmmm.. China has the quantity and quality to ensure LCW faces at least 2 China players in any tournament. So if they want, they can formulate a strategy to exhaust him by lifting the shuttle more, making him smash more frequently, defend by sending the shuttle to the front court to make him run, and repeat. Therefore, LCW may be exhausted and give the 2nd Chinese player higher chance of winning. Not saying that this is the case, but China can do this. Peace
LD was playing Chen Long on the other half .... if LCW vs CL , LCW might have lost already .... few months before this game Chen Long beat LCW in the 2013 all england Final who is easier to beat ? Du Pengyu or Chen Long ?
this shows how Lining racket is LOL. Just joking, all high grade rackets are made of carbon fiber and can be bent and almost impossible to break just by swinging
22:32 It was definitely a clear error. Good call by the umpire. Du Pengyu's playing style is exactly the same as Chen Long's: solid and great defense, sharp cross-court smash. But unfortunately, luck didn't found him back then and there were too many talented players in China's team. I think he is currently a coach of Hongkong's team
No just singles but also doubles. You don't expect to get an 'ace' shot with smashes especially smashing from full base. You smash to get weaker replies then finish them off.
It was to set up the final shot, who the hell smashes to win rally from the base? this is LCW style of play that day, to set up a finishing follow up shot.
Walaupun ini game lama tp nmpk cara permainan lcw menyusahkn diri sendiri. Patut dah lama game off tp saje cari jln pyh. Nasib win, Jika tak brcabang ariel Maza tido.
Lee Chong Wei barely even scores with a smash.. he scores with a crosscourt slice or placing unlike Lin Dan who uses smashes wisely not just jump then smash then jump then smash..
