Well faught guys. The crowd as well was sensational. It gave the game some extra spice. Poland + Latvia = A LOT OF NOICE. Good luck to both nations with the remaing games. This game was very entertaining!! Poland really impressed me today, I don't think Latvia expected a battle like this. Not long ago Poland were in DIV 1B. Congrats for earning a point.

Hockey God was on Poland's side - three goals were scored from ricochets. However, Latvia showed character and fought back with purposeful work and won a well-deserved victory. I have to praise the Polish team for their discipline and I think that this team deserves to be in the I division. No one will have it easy against Poland. Latvia must drop the fever of the first games and play its own game that gives results.

@@lestercrowley1485 Niekoniecznie. Mamy jeden punkt za remis z Łotwą po trzech tercjach. Jutro mecz Francuzów z Łotyszami, a nam wypada mocno kibicować Łotyszom. Jeśli Łotysze wygrają go za trzy punkty, a potem my za trzy punkty pokonamy Francuzów (co będzie bardzo trudne, ale nie niemożliwe), wtedy będziemy mieć cztery punkty, a Francuzi zero. Z każdej z dwóch grup spada tylko ostatni zespół w tabeli. Tak więc jeśli po trzech meczach Polska będzie mieć cztery punkty (bowiem ze Szwecją raczej nic nie ugramy, różnica klas jest zbyt duża), to nawet jeśli my przegrany wszystko do końca za zero punktów, a Francuzi będą wszystko przegrywać po dogrywce, to na koniec będziemy w tabeli przed Francuzami. Obie drużyny miałyby po cztery punkty, ale o utrzymaniu zadecyduje zwycięstwo w bezpośrednim meczu. Wierzę, że możemy ich ograć. Kibicujmy 🇵🇱 hokeistom! 😀 Pozdrawiam! 🤗

Some facts about team Latvija - we are bad at the start of championship but putting on with any next game, we are playing better shorthanded than equal or PP. We still have some habits of "underdogs" and the games against lower ranked teams are always a kind of struggle for us.

No, there was not. The only contact with Muray was made outside of the blue half-circle or the crease. Outside of the crease, the goalie is just another skater and you can play against him accordingly.

I'm from Poland so maybe I will be no objective observator this time, but in my opinion Latvia's goal for 3:3 was ridiculous. Not even the goal, but Referee's decision! First Murray was grounded by Latvian player. Second Abols was in offside. Third Latvian player pounched the referee!! Ok for sure he didn't want to do that, but he did and this situation should be punished as a DSQ!

player can be in goalies blue ice if he dont push goalie. None pushed him during 3rd goal. Also dq for hitting ref is if it was on purpose. That was just accident.

Nobody likes to lose a game, but come on, learn how to lose and stop whining. Everything was done according to IIHF rules. In the end, Latvia was the better team. Accept it.

As a latvian fan i cant say im not disappointed but poland played a really good game even if in my opinion they got a lucky a couple of times i hope to see poland playing at the top division more often and see how polish hockey develops in the years to come

Poļiem protams ir daudz problēmu, bet viņi ļoti spēcīgi pretojās. Viņi zaudēja vārtus vairākumā un bija liels spiediens polijas aizsardzības zonā. Ja Poļi šādi spēlēs pret KZ un FR, viņi spēs nopelnīt sev divas uzvaras.
