Honestly, as a Swiss, I was a bit torn when I saw Ambühl scoring the 3-2. I was glad for him and for the team, but I felt sad for Latvia and their fans. In the end, I'm really happy they were able to bounce back and qualify. Their crowd deserved it.

I just don't understand why Patrick Fischer didn't let the chance to Genoni to play. Yeah, maybe Mayer make an incredible game against CZE but just put our best goalies, so you can have a solid view between who is going to be the starter and the backup. But yeah, I think Mayer is gonna be the starter. I will be very disappointed if Genoni will begin the game against Germany. After, I'm a little bit sad for Van Pottelberg. He played incredibly well in the playoff. I think, this game didn't show what he can really do. But after, they were just better and they managed to keep the eyes on the second round. MAD respect to Latvia to keep believed in the victory when you took a goal at 6 minutes before the end.🖖🏻🇱🇻🇨🇭

Super exciting game, my heart was pounding so fast during the third period. I'm from Finland and while Finland was playing Denmark at the same time, it was a pointless game so I watched this instead and I'm glad I did! What a great atmosphere, amazing Latvian fans! Such a mighty game! As a Latvian, I watched this one in stress. Latvia needed only one point to qualify, but I thought it was impossible due to the fact that Swiss won all of their games. But Latvia, oh, how I love my country, breaked the switzerland's perfection! What a game, what a night, I can go to sleep with a smile on my face! Я не помню такого напряжения ни в одной игре! Стадион будто бы был заряжен энергией. Секунда за секундой темп не угасал. Латыши бились так, словно за проигрыш их казнят.

Ну не казнят, но мы бились за победу, чтобы выйти из группы, потому что это было необходимо!! Но я согласен эта игра самая напряжённая из всех, там 2:1 или 7:0 это как-то не было интересно, но тут мы бились чтобы выйти из группы и это дало большое напряжение + самую сильную сборную в группе выиграли и это классно! Притом когда было 2:3 я уже инфаркт чуть ли не словил, а потом забыли и очень радовался и такое напряжение прям пипец было..Спасибо за поддержку 🇱🇻

Очень жаль, конечно, что Швейцария слишком расслабилась и позволила латвии дожить до овертайма. Швейцария откровенно отдыхала сегодня перед плей офф и позволила латвии набрать очки. Хотя жаль, Швейцария должна была спокойно раскатывать латышей на классе.

Last year we won everything till the quarters and then we were tired against the USA. A change was needed We played at half of the intensity and with a new goalie, but Latvia still had to win to get points. For how they played, I'd say at least they put a lot of effort and they took the win. Deserved win for Latvia!

Швейцария красавцы. А латвия просто получила сегодня подачку от Швейцарии, которая расслабилась перед плей офф и позволила латвии дожить до овертайма. А жаль! Должны были убирать этих латвишей спокойно, на классе

The Swiss saved their players for the quarterfinals, so we can't talk about a full-fledged match; it was even visible that they were playing at half throttle. The Latvians definitely deserve it after the performance they showed, and I certainly congratulate them. The Swedes will be a tough test for the Latvians in the quarterfinals, and I hope they show why they're there.
