Mullin does so much work with not much help up front, the man is top class. We desperate for a striker with some pace who can share the work load with him. Hopefully this january transfer window sees that come to fruition.
We've beaten quite a few league one sides at this point, I think if we get promoted this season we'll be around mid table. Also interesting that you're using the Welsh language score bug, not that I'm complaining!
I'm getting sick of saying this every week, but Wrexham need to do something about their defense. Sure it was a win, but that was more due to Shrewsbury not taking their chances.
Good effort for Wrexham to win this game! However, lets not forget how awful Shrewsbury was with all their chances, this was definitely not their day at all.
not even a little bit, so many chances given and none was taken, you don't deserve the win if you don't make those opportunities. SO MANY MISSES, way too many to be saying they deserve anything. this is more of a wake up call for them to go back and mend those terrible mistakes.
Shrewsbury players had zero composure in their attacking third. It's almost comical that they lost this one given the amount of clear cut chances they had!
For all the people who don’t know… his name is pronounced Mh Claeyn and the Cs fuse together not Mc Clean Edit: MACK-CLAY-AYN But the MACK is pronounced with more emphasis on the M than the C hence the C from CLAY and the C from Mack are fused (god I wish RU-vid had voice notes)
Mate what you've said is about as clear as fog! If you didn't know how to pronounce the name you definitely will have no chance after that horrendous effort.
Wrexham is playing a bit above their level at the moment. I think the chance for direct promotion is about 50:50 maybe a bit higher, but if they go up they're going to get pummeled for a year or two until the squad gets up to speed. Keep in mind, these players were too good for the national league, but going up means the squad needs to get up as well. Problem is, all the morale and everything they've gained these last few years are part of the players, so if you switch the players you'll likely lose a lot of the magic. So to keep the squad healthy and in a good composition, the team needs time to adjust. I hope they go up again, but if they do they won't next year. Taking a breather for a few years in league 1 before making a run at the championship would probably be the best thing for them. It allows them to get everything else in order first, fix the stadium, get better sponsors, etc. which is what makes them able to consolidate the economics and create a solid foundation for future growth. Doing everything at once means you're stretched too thin.
Love Wrexham as a club, love the owners, love the fans - but hard to root for them with that scumbag McClean playing for them now. Unlucky Shrewsbury, should have been comfortable.
Worse game I've seen them play in 2 seasons. Should have been about 6 - 0 to Shrewsbury, only it wasn't because they played like a bunch or drunken one-legged sailors. Fitting highlight of the game was the score off a deflection. That says it all about the quality there. Still an ugly win's far better than playing like supermen and losing.😉
