This is one of the greatest live performances ever, and I've probably watched it close to 100 times. Everything about this performance is epic, the song, the instrumentation, the vocals, their stage presence, and especially the lighting and guitar solo. I think your suggestion about watching it twice more sounds good. I would recommend keeping your eyes open the whole time on the first watch to see everything going on, and then on the second watch just listening to the sounds with your eyes closed. If your react to more Pink Floyd I think you should choose songs from this concert due to the great sound and lighting.

Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend at the time and I loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I cannot describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. Our 4 adult children (28-33) love 70’s/80’s music just as we do. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.

It's amazing what a t-shirt, blue jeans , a red strat and a genius can create. Pink floyd just takes you away! Great reaction!

His name is David Gilmour. Sings like an angel and plays guitar like a god. You can't go wrong with Pink Floyd. I enjoyed your reaction.

I would love for you to do a reaction to Pink Floyd - Mother - Live 1980 It's the original lineup of the band and is such an interesting and for some an emotional song. Much love from the far north of New Zealand.

David Gilmour is the lead singer and lead guitarist of Pink Floyd. Roger Waters who did co-lead vocals on this song, left the band before this tour. David is one of the most acclaimed guitarists in Rock. Yes I've seen this clip a thousand times, but better yet, saw it performed live when this tour came to Chicago in 1994. Extraordinary sensory experience. The video as good as it is, struggles to do it justice.

An excellent first choice! You will find Pink Floyd is not like any other band. PF doesn't write songs; they write albums. Their lyrics stay with you, they make you think. The PULSE concert was actually the tour to support their last studio album, "The Division Bell". It was the most expensive concert tour in history up to that time. I had the absolute pleasure of seeing this tour at Sun Devil Stadium with 65,000 of my closest friends, and it was even better than it looks. It's been called (arguably) the greatest concert performance ever recorded, and it's got my vote. I've been to many live shows, and there was never a concert like PULSE. Pink Floyd brought their own reality with them, and for three hours they let us visit them there. (BTW, the name comes from the original CD release of the concert, which had a red LED in the spine that flashed, or 'pulsed'.) The concert was uniformly superb throughout, and every song would be a great choice to react to. Most of their hits are here, including "Time", "Wish You Were Here", "Run Like Hell", "Sorrow", "Have A Cigar", "Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)", or "High Hopes" (bring a tissue). You asked how many times we've seen this video. I fell in love with the song back when it was released in the late 80's on their double album, "The Wall", and it still brings me to tears almost every time I hear it. It just strikes a resonating chord, somewhere within me. But then this video was released, and my mind was blown. I'm gonna guess I've personally seen this video well over a hundred times since then. And it blows me away every time.💥🤘
