Remember when most TV shows made you want to do the right thing? Be the heroe? Help someone? I miss shows like this. Even the goofy shows like The Dukes of Hazzard and The A Team told you you should be honest and help people.
Be brave, be strong and be what you want to see in the world and create the world that you want to live in. Jesus Christ said you shall reap what you sow.
Yes indeed 👍God bless our men and women in blue that are honest and follow Gods commandments and have a heart to help people - and may God deal with the evil hearted men and women who may have evil intentions and hate : ❤️
That’s what this world needs are more shows like this one; with depth, compassion, humanity, and common but challenging moral dilemmas at every turn. Many of these episodes bring me to tears 😭.
Me too. I miss the good ole days when there was far more “love thy neighbor as yourself” instead of “love yourself as yourself.” We have to be the change that we want to see in the world, beginning in our own sphere of influence. 💕
Thank you all in law enforcement for everything you do for humanity as a whole. If the people and the public knew the truth and see the truth that you do they would not be wanting to defund the police ever again. If there are any police officers or others in law enforcement out there who doubt why they are doing what they are doing, just know that Heaven itself is meant for people like all of you. Hero is a word that does not describe what you all do and just remember that God is watching and crying with happiness and joy for you all especially those on the front lines. Not many know of the battle you all face but trust that God knows and you all should be proud of who you are and what you have done for others. Heaven knows and is watching. Stay strong and keep fighting. God bless you all.
This popped up in my YT feed this morning. My mum passed away yesterday. It was her favourite show. She was listening to Highway to Heaven when she was very poorly in hospital before she passed away. It was the only thing that gave her peace. She died April first Australian time but March 31 UK time and this very old show has an April first content. Coincidences today well I like to think not. Blessings instead. Thank you mum for getting me to watch your show today - a good mum, the best. Your in heaven now - the real show all around you. I hope Michael Landon greeted you on arrival- you would have liked that very much. 🙏❤️
@@fridperon9593 I will look for that one tonight. Where have all the uplifting clean TV shows gone. Thank you for replying too - it’s been almost a year and I had long since forgotten I wrote this. Gives me a reminder of just where my head was back then it’s been a difficult year. Blessings and best of health to you and yours. 🙏
@@shantishanti1949 I hope by now, you are at peace and living your best life. I lost my mom three years ago, then just lost my dad two months ago. It’s a tough part of life to lose your parents.. My father went to high school with Eugene Orowitz (Michael Landon’s real name) in Collingswood, NJ. He changed his name when he made it in Hollywood. Funny thing is, my dad told us Eugene was a bit of a troublemaker in high school and wasn’t a serious student. I’m glad he grew up to be a decent man and a very good actor, who insisted on doing projects that were meaningful and instilled values. Just wanted to share this fun fact and hope you are well. 🙏✝️😇
Michael Landon was an amazing guy that had a huge heart and lots of love who used his gift to try to make the world a better place ..He made it better for me ..God bless
I love these shows,I hope they never run out,in those days people knew what shows to make for the public that loves family viewing, Landon you were good..
Highway to heaven well there's no to Highway to but with Michael Landon's programs such as Little House on the Prairie ..., Highway to heaven even Bonanza screen time with television was a lot safer for families... It was a blessing and encouragement with that teaching children as well families to love each other showing God's love to each other WISH-TV have the same values likewise did in the 80s
Leanne Anweiler Now the opposite is promoted, no manners, gay agenda, transgenders, that's what every show promotes nowadays. Drag queens in kindergartens, unbelievable!
Today’s TV is designed to destroy the family unit, promoting sick twisted warped agendas of the satanic elite. Time we put them in their place. For our children and their children after. As GOD intended
I love this serial. I was a student at High school in Pakistan I used to watch it on Ptv. This programme was shown on Ptv in 1987. I watch this serial on RU-vid nowadays.
@@Actionnelll I'm sure those are all well made shows but nothing today has the same meaning or power as shows back then. These were shows whole families could watch and people could say they grew up with. They don't make shows like that anymore because everything is too dark and gritty and about demographics not about appealing to any and everyone.
@@Saracinderallasushis Michael Landon was no different than the liberals nowadays, he just belonged to a different generation of Hollywood weirdos so he seems a little more tame in comparison. If he were alive today he'd be wearing a BLM tshirt.
I loved the acknowledgement reference to Dragnet, all the codes of Adam-12, & the very similar uniforms of Emergency! Very creative & well thought out! The Good Lord be with all of our police, firefighters & military!
This is insignificant, but I like how so many women wore long dresses back then. You just don't see that now. They had their hair done, nice clothes. I remember my mama taking so long to get ready for work in the 80's and leaving the house in a dress with hair done but it took her an hour so I understand why they don't do this today, but still, it's nice to see.
I remember as a kid my dad loved Highway to Heaven and would make me watch it too... This show always showcased a variety of the pragmatic worldviews and many teachable moments.
The problem adressed is of foremost importance up to this day. May our Lord bless our families with Wisdom! Thank you Mr. Landon for your compassionate work!
It was cool to see Jonathan genuinely afraid. Most people forget that Jonathan is on probation. I think that, on the positive side, without "the stuff," he REALLY enjoyed that sandwich! French and Landon had such chemistry together. RIP to them both.
@@rocknroll7065 No. He's a new angel. He didn't do anything wrong, but he has to earn his wings. As I understand it, new angels are sent to Earth to help people. How they do determines if they get their wings. I watched every episode of this. Jonathan screws up quite a bit. He ALMOST got "fired" permanently by disobeying God. Mark spoke up for him. He also denounced God when his wife died. Jonathan is still very much human. It sucks we never got a true series finale. WIKIPEDIA Jonathan Smith, formerly a man who lived on earth named Arthur Thompson, is now a "probationary" angel sent to Earth to help people in need. In the course of an "assignment", he meets Mark Gordon, an embittered retired policeman now bouncing from job to job. At first distrustful of Jonathan, Mark helps him complete his assignment and soon comes to realize his true nature, and is then given a job by "The Boss" (i.e. God): to assist Jonathan in helping troubled people on Earth. Jonathan and Mark are given assignments where they help various troubled souls overcome their problems.
i wish more people could just show a little more love in this world. it would make this life a better experience. as i grow and learn, i try to do my best everyday, it is not easy, but i will try to help, because if you win i win too.everything we do we have to do for our children;s children. our ancestors worked for thousands of years for us to have this time and our life styles.it is our turn to do the same,God bless us all and who is ever reading this.
I loved this show it was Real live real people. Real emotions how people were supposed to be with each other the best actor we ever had. A Real Angel😇💖
Michael Landon was interviewed once and said coming off the highly successful Bonanza he was offered a multitude of "cop" characters to play in his next series but he didn't see himself as a cop. Now that I think about it, he NEVER played a cop ever and this episode makes me realize he wasn't right for that role. He just doesn't look "right" in a uniform. He was meant to be the everyman or the pioneer.
I felt compassion for the family of the victim. I feel for the parents the most because they did right by their son, but it was not enough. I also have compassion for the cop because he had to live with the guilt of taking the life of someone's life. He did not kill that kid because he was racist or full of hate unlike the cop in the Back to Oakland episode in season 4. This cop shot the kid in order to stay alive. However, the cop had trouble dealing with what he did which why he snapped. The scene with his family the kitchen was almost eerie. I liked that the cop apologized to the father.
@@adolflazary5864 I see. I'm confused as to who don't know me? I believe I have passed a few tests a little better then a few others... I can't say it was always easy though LOL. I believe in a few things now I didn't use too
As one who has worked both in law enforcement and security I can testify there are people exactly like those 3 old ladies. Instead of being grateful and thankful that none of them were hurt and also none of their possessions were completely lost but recovered they complain over one friggin' door that can be replaced. Lives and a lot more in that situation could be replaced. It is like police officers and security get treated worse than the robbers and muggers. This still happens in the world today.
How do you put a line through your words. I can't figure it out. My keyboard doesn't offer a way to do that. Is it a special keyboard app or did it come already programmed into your keyboard?
Poor man, i bet every parents thinks "Where did my boy/sweet little girl go?" when their kids turn bad....my heart went out to him. Heh heh, love the last line, very "Dragnet" "I carry a badge, my partner carries a harp."
@@likeness1image860 I listened to it again, very loudly. Looked at Closed Captioning and it agrees with my ears, he said he carries a "harp" the emphases was on the p.
@@likeness1image860 Actually, that would be a " harp ". Angels carry harps. What I noticed is about the comments. This video is now getting views and people are leaving comments to comments from years ago. The effects of tv being crap now and a virus. : )
Love these programmes in the old days when TV came to south Africa bonanza little house on the prairie iron horse with Michael Landon may his soul rest in piece died in1991
@@forcelifeforce My situation and the lost our child had nothing to do with cops except that they responded in the line of duty. The person that killed our child was charged with vichicular man slawter. I'm sorry you miss understood my post. I was speaking from the experience of loosing a child.
That was a time when shows had a lot of meaning and a lot of heart that same scenario must have happened thousands of times since then but without the same ending
I loved the ending. It made me laugh. The other part of the story was truly sad tho. Too many kids are still lost to the streets and have lifes of crime and drugs. Even when parents do their best and raise them right. #BACKTHEBLUE
Hello to the Highway to Heaven family. I cannot find some episodes on you tube: the last ones of series one and the first two of series two: does anybody know if they've been uploaded or whether there aren't any at all? At least, if I know, I can stop searching... thank you in advance...
