Actually, he died about six weeks before this episode came out.

He’s been dead for a while before this episode came out. The last SIX episodes didnt air for the first time until after he died.

I think when mark had his tantrum about the stuff & laid down on the bench he fell asleep. Jonathan most likely moved him to the bed & then went on that assignment by himself & the rest of it is a dreamscape. Jonathan often dreamscapes with mark to fix assignments & as for the dog, it was most likely, as we saw, a dog that came to sit beside mark on the bench, so jonathan moved the dog into the tub as a joke for mark to wake up to while off finishing yet another assignment. Thats how i always saw it.

And something unexpected a weird happened every time he got it, too.
