Hike At The EL Dorado Nature Center

Frank, Jeanette and I visit the El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach, CA for a hike around the park. Once inside this oasis of natural habitat, it is hard to imagine that you are still in Long Beach! The 105 acres that make up the Nature Center grounds provide sanctuary for animals and plant life. Two miles of dirt trails and a ¼ mile paved trail wind around two lakes, a stream and forested areas.

It's located at 7550 E. Spring St., just West of the 606 Fwy. The center is closed on Monday's though. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching!

Thanks FC! Yes, Frank is a character and he definitely likes to perform for the camera! Re: the end….I had no idea about the gruesome discovery at the center 2 years ago until Frank mentioned it. I decided to leave it in the video along with the facts in subtitles after I was able to Google the info. And yes, I plan to use the pelican as my logo at the end of the videos. I enjoyed my virtual trip,Frank is such a ham..lol. That beetle reminded me of an Egyptian Scarab. I got concerned when your pals went off the trail.That space looked like maybe they were trying to collect insects..maybe.Frank is a curious creature lol Pretty area ..I miss the woody places as I live on a coral rock.thanks for sharing :)

very enjoyable; quite different but enjoyable; Frank is a hoot ! my brother has almost 20 large turtles....the end was spookey....you guys are very adventurous and we like u capturing it...nice to see the pelican again; will that be your new logo? good idea ! thumbs up...of course !!

monakw, glad you enjoyed your virtual trip! Now that I think about it, I bet you are right in that the center was trying to collect insects ... that is about the only thing that I can think of that makes sense!
