I followed your video for a Christmas Day walk. As a tourist who gets nervous because I have a poor sense of direction, I found this very helpful and can’t thank you enough. We missed the turn to the back of the sign but remembered your video and found our way.

This was the perfect guide! Your video was clear and memorable. We found the car park no problem, photographed the map (your great tip!), and easily followed the route you described. We even remembered you saying the middle mile of the three was more flat, a rest we enjoyed before the mile-three climb to the peak. What a splendid hike! Great work, thank you!

Did the hike this morning, waited till sunrise to arrive at the park. It had been open since at least 5:30am according to locals who hike it frequently. Aside from that, really excellent source of information. Appreciate you for it!

Thank you! Your very concise instructions provided for an excellent experience. The use of hiking poles made the ascent (and descent) much more controlled, especially with a backpack full of water, which I purchased and froze the day before the hike. Not only are the views spectacular, enjoy looking at the vegetation and rock formations. Thank you again for this guide.

I made the trek on Friday, 9/1/23. It was an exhilarating event. Thank you for the excellent instructions! The only regret is that I wish I had started earlier, like 7 or 8 am instead of 11am.

Another great video Hiking Guy! I just recently started wearing Danner 2650 Campo shoes after wearing Altra Lone Peak 6's. You should give em a try, pretty comfortable and versatile, though they are an 8mm shoe.

That sign is from 1978. The original sign was bought by an artist in Bloomington, MN.

If they can walk 3 hours or so you'll be fine - trail is wide and kid friendly

So we can't hike the trails before sunrise since the gate opens at sunrise? We are planning to reach the hollywood sign a little before sunrise or at sunrise
