Hiking an Advanced part of the Te Araroa Trail! What an amazing hike, and crazy views! NZ Tramping 

On the King's Birthday long weekend we decided the Breast Hill track in Lake Hawea was worth a shot. This trail is recommended for experienced hikers only. We tried it back in March, and definitely were underprepared.
We certainly got a challenging hike, both fitness and technicality. But the views at the top made it worth the trip!
