Hiking and skin cancer. My personal experience with skin cancer as a long term hiker. Deal with any obvious changes in your skin immediately. Get yourself checked out every year, dealing with skin cancers early is less stressful.
Hi and welcome back to Hike and Seeker channel.
In today's episode, I want to share with you my thoughts on skin cancer. How there is an urgent need to take it seriously. Don't do as I did and assume it's only a small blemish on your skin, so it will be OK.
If we do take skin cancer seriously, it's usually only what we can see it in the mirror. Often we are totally neglectful of other body parts particularly legs, arms and hands. These are common places as well but not restricted to these area's alone.
What's the answer ? Cover up all exposed skin as best as you can. Even though it doesn't look cool sometimes. Or for that matter feel cool, when we wear extra layers next to our skin.
Sunscreen works but how often do we apply it to our hands, legs and arms. Usually we may apply it to all areas in the beginning, but as we sweat it tends to only be applied to our face. Sometimes even our face is neglected.
