Departing the village of Arrifana, I make my way south towards Carrapateira and the next day I continue to Vila do Bispo. Looming in the distance is Storm Nelson, the winds are picking up.
The second day felt quite dangerous to be on the cliffs; I had to stop many times to wait for the gusts to die down before continuing so, at the first opportunity I diverted onto the E9 trail inland.
