Hiking Hardangervidda in Autumn | Norway

A three-day autumn hike across Hardangervidda in Norway. Finally reunited after two years, two best friends set off on a chilly adventure, hiking and wild camping in the Norwegian wilderness. Our trail started from Finse and took us past the Hardangerjøkulen glacier, over barren rock lands and river crossings, until we descend into the autumnal valley Haugastøl to a warm cabin.

Schönes Video, es ist einfach herrlich sich auf die Natur vollkommen einzulassen. Energie zu tanken und durchzuatmen. Mal so richtig raus….nächstes Jahr ist es auch für uns wieder so weit. Viele Grüße

Beautiful video! The music and natural sounds of the intro shots really helped set the mood, and I just felt so relaxed watching. But now I'm a bit hungry because of all the tasty food you both enjoyed along the way 😌

This was in the middle of September and it was pretty cold. It started snowing soon after I left so October will be a little different - still beautiful though but more harsh ☺️

I don't know if I missed it, but what month exactly did you hike there? We are planning to go in mid/end september and do a 7-day hike. We know the weather can change fast, but we have already done multi day hikes in northern Schotland and the whole Lofoten trail, so we should be fine with a lot of rain and/or some snow 😅

Hi Judith, that adventure sounds amazing! We did our hike on Hardangervidda in the second week of September last year. Temperatures ranged between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. We did have some rain on the last day, but as I’m sure you know it’s normal in Norway ☺️ I think some snow did hit the plateau a week or two later. Wishing you all the best with your trip!

@@judithh2005 we found that to be a useful approachable as well, so we would plan 2/3 routes in different areas and make the call shortly before.
