Hiking Haugalandet, Norway 

Haugalandet is the peninsula between Boknafjorden in Rogaland county in the south and Bømlafjorden, the outer part of the Hardangerfjord, in Vestland county in the north. Traditionally, Haugalandet has been considered to stretch eastwards to Sandeidfjorden and Ølsfjorden with the seven km long eid between the two fjords, as well as the adjacent island municipalities (Bokn, Karmøy and Utsira). Sveio, the neighboring municipality of Haugesund in the north, however, has often not been included in Haugalandet.
