Thanks Malte for your answers ! It's fun to see we all almost think the same way ahaha And also ... Thank you for not recording this video in your car while driving ! This hike was actually very refreshing and I really enjoyed it ! And what a beautiful scenery ! Oh, and the drone shots, AWESOME !
Great insights! And I quite enjoyed the hike as well, you captured it nicely and I didn't find the walking footage bothersome in the least. Totally faked me out on that first drone flight...I thought you were going to fly right into the cave! :-) Great choice passing the challenge along to the.rooted.progress, I look forward to seeing their response.
Yeah I was really trying to capture the tunnel and make it feel like it draws the viewer in. Really happy with these drone shots, but they were risky to take haha
Hi Mitre, I'm starting to keep a look out for a Forester, probably 2003 - 2007. I would prefer the manual 2.5L normally aspirated (not the turbo). The manuals seem to be fewer and go quickly. What are your views on the manual vs auto? Cheers, Fred
Hi Fred, I have never driven an auto Subaru so I am not qualified to say. However, From what I have see on the internet the CVT is rubbish, and the 4EAT seems to be the go to for autos. In an off-road application I simply can’t see how a 4spd gearbox is going to hold you on any hill and I would think you would rely heavily on braking which is not an ideal tactic while off road driving. If you watch any of Alex deadman’s stuff (subaru offroad YT Channel) he tested an auto in a few videos and didn’t like it. Anyway, that’s both extreme off road applications, and I’m sure the 4eat is fine for most driving.
