Had three subys in a row, an 84 Sportwagon, a 94 wagon and a 2009 Forester. Time came to go EV and Subaru didn't make one. So, for the first time in over 20 years I bought another brand that did. Now they have the Solterra, but that's just a shitty rebadged Toyota bz4x, wonder when they will get off their butts and make a real EV. Subaru suspension and AWD system combined with EV torque and power, that would be amazing.

Hi I’m in the US, I had the good fortune to come across a dual range box at a local junkyard. Pulled it & engine from an Impreza and have installed it in a 99 Forester S. I have set up the range shifter using a seat motor and a polarity reversing switch with blue LEDs. What year is your Foz. BTW my car DOES have the LO indicator built in I would think that yours does as well its on the right side upper quadrant. id send pics if i knew how

The reason is quite simple- theSubaru isn’t better- The fact is that mud gets very thick when un disturbed. The previous trucks simply mixed the mud with water, making it less viscous- Also, the Subaru has thinner tires- able to cut thru easier.

i remember Mt Terrible from when i was a kid, parents were in the Subaru 4WD Club (70's), getting to the hut at the top and breaking icicles off the roof for sword fights, lol. oh forgot to say it was in the snow. later on, i think it was early 80's, dad and the then president of the club had been supplied two of the first dual range wagons, which were a lot more capable than the previous '77 models. excellent vid. i'd love to get up there with my forester at some point, i mean that area is only a couple hours or so from where i live in the se suburbs, but i think id need to do some minor mods first.

as an owner of an MY11 forester, with pretensions to lift etc., this is a great vid for consideration. as for the Subaru off-roading scene being young, the Subaru 4WD Club has been around since i was a young kid in the late 70's, it was a lot of fun - tho, i am assuming that the club is still running? :)

I would love an alternative product where the hoops come out of the bumper higher up. I would rather make cosmetic adjustments to my bumper and keep the clearance.

Most of these so called 4 wheel drives are not 4 wheel drives notice the front tires only one spinning. Need positive lockers for solid lock up. Just saying. Fun video though.😊😊😊😊

AWD versus open diffs with similar clearance will result in the same every time. Not so much a testament for Subaru, but rather AWD or lockers.

It's not so much the subaru itself I'm pretty sure it's the driver driving g the su are if u notice he is the only one who was driving slightly more to the one side of the road so he didn't slip in the groves and high centre or whatever its called. Lol
