Hiking in Crater Lake National Park Oregon | Discovery Point Trail 🗻 

In this video I show what its like hiking at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon on the Discovery Point Trail. I'll have to admit, this was probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been let alone hiked. The trail we did wasn't especially amazing or difficult but the views made it a 5 out of 5 for me. This is actually an out and back two mile trail with a 337ft elevation gain and assorted rocky incline and declines. The whole trail is located primarily within feet of the rim of the lake thousands of feet up from the water. Every direction is an amazing view which changes throughout the year from season to season. There's plenty of parking at the trail head but you could also park at the Rim Village visitors center a mile away and hike from there but there will be some walking along the road. You will have the best view of Wizards Island during the hike and unobstructed views of the entire lake. Be safe coming out here and doing any hiking around the lake, being close to the edge is really dangerous. You're not allowed to bring dogs to any of the rim trails so keep that in mind coming up here.
