Hiking in Tasmania - Walls of Jerusalem National Park
The Walls of Jerusalem hike has got to be one of the best hikes I have ever done. I completed the Walls of Jerusalem Hike over 4 days, but the main parts of the hike leading up to Dixons Kingdom Campground can be achieved within a day, but I would recommend spending at least one night for a more fulfilling experience. In my opinion, the Walls of Jerusalem Hike would be a great 'introduction hike' for the person attempting their first multiday hike. It's relatively easy hike with a lot of stunning scenery. It would also make a great alternative to the Overland Track, as I imagine the scenery would be relatively the same.
Some of my Hiking Gear:
2Go Systems Velare Bivy Review: • The best budget ultral...
Sea to Summit Trailhead 3 Synthetic Sleeping Bag
Nemo Zor Mattress
DD Hammocks 3m x 2.9m Tarp
Sea to Summit Quagmire Gaiters
Marmot Precip Rain Jacket
Outdoor Research Foray Pewter Pants
My Hiking Itinerary: Walls of Jerusalem, Tasmania:
DAY 1
00:00 Carpark to Dixon's Kingdom Campground
DAY 2 (based at Dixons Kingdom Campground)
09:31 Mt Jerusalem
11:28 Solomons Throne
12:35 The Temple
DAY 3
17:42 Dixons Kingdom to Lake Adelaide
DAY 4
28:20 Lake Adelaide to the Wild Dog Car Park

I love the Walls... Been there as a day hike to Solomon's Throne. The vegetation, the tarns, the wallabies, everything was just stunning. It is quite a way, first to get to the car park and then the elevation gain (more than 1000 m of vertical gain) but definitely worth it. I was in Tassie for 11 days, and picked the only full sunny day for this hike. You could see all the way to Cradle mountain. One of my best memories of Australia.

Hey mate! Recently I found your channel and I'm really enjoying your vids. I did The Walls in March 2021 and it is one of my favourite spots on the planet. Keep up the good work. Cheers 👍

Love this view of the Tasmanian mountain nature and terrain. It was nice to see the updates on Instagram when you were out there. This video however tells the full story and really shows how amazing the Jerusalem wall and Adelaide Lake area is. Thanks for the hiking tips!

Hey Jeremy. Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I'm pretty proud of my opening - a new intro technique I thought I'd try, which I got the idea from other RU-vid-hikers. I might stick with it. I hope you can get to the Walls with Carla one day. And yeah, let me know if there's any hiking things you'd like me to cover :)

Ah, thank you. Yeah, I think it's important we all do our part to preserve at least what's left of the Earth. It's also great to see the track works going ahead so more people can appreciate the area.

Great footage and a lovely place! just tip with food and cookware try to lock it away or hang it up where they can't get to it, you don't want brush tails possums or rats, mice popping, weeing in you mess kit.
