@@riseandalpine swear to god dude....there was a plastic grocery bag hung on the tree to mark the spot. The nest was in the tree roots, and if you stepped in the wrong place, your leg would go through and all hell would break loose.

Unreal! The steep dense forest must have been quite the adventure! What was the most challenging part?

@@riseandalpine huge devil's club all along Hirsch Creek, both sides. Once we crossed the creek and gained elevation I don't remember anymore overly challenging sections. 😁

It's very doable and isn't overly technical. Hiking in fog or bad weather would spell trouble (but thats the same for any trail)

People should not be scared of this trail. Its awesome!

An acquaintance and her friend died unfortunately died in 2002 on this hike. Wow 22 years now. They were so young. Their memorial @7:00 of the video

spy building to look over the whole valley

I hiked there the day the built that. Cool to see it fully built. Was built in sept 2020 but it’s been removed now. Not sure why
