Yeah no doubt. I do remember I loved the big rainforests and coconut palms on the beaches up in QLD though.

Actually one of the great things about the Alpine national park is that it is one of the national parks in Victoria where legally you are allowed to wild (dispersed camp) and have fires. Most of the drive in campsites in the alpine national park will have fire rings already, and you can also walk out and have a small fire if you know what you are doing and only collect fallen dead wood. You do have to be careful as there are some sensitive areas in the park that you are not allowed to have fires (like on the top of mount howit area, or near lake tali karng ) But yeah, there are a few national parks in Victoria where it is still legal to wild camp and have fires.

Absolutely. Love my kids hey ... best thing being able to raise them. And being able to share my passion of camping with them is great.
