In the summer and fall of 2022, we hiked the entire Lake Superior Coastal Trail. It was a gruelling hike in many sections, but rewarding with every step.

Lake Superior's eastern shore is filled with some of the most scenic terrain in North America. Thankfully, much of it is protected from development by Lake Superior Provincial Park, and others. The Lake Superior Coastal Trail is a 65km trail that extends from Chalfant Cove in the North, all the way South to Agawa Bay. Along this distance, the trail moves through rugged, rocky coastline, fine white sand beaches, coarse cobble beaches, and into the lush coastal forest.

Due to scheduling constraints, we had to complete this hike in 3 separate stages, instead of one. This offered us the opportunity to share the hike with 3 different sets of friends. Each section has its own flavour, and each part has its own vibe for this reason.

We hope that you enjoy the film, and truly wish that it helps to inspire you to get out there and experience it for yourself. There's not much more important than the natural world around us...after all, we're not just experiencing it. We're a part of it.
