@@hikeronatrail I have a few questions. I live in Hollywood and I simply want to arrive at this camp tonight Monday night. I want to pitch a tent and put up my own fire and then sit in a stream and go to the waterfall. Am I capable of doing all of this or is there no water right now? Do I have to pay to set up a tent and camp for two nights with my wife? Am I allowed to set up my own fire? Are there park rangers constantly walking around or lots of other campers?
@@mer.i.p.3704 I don't see why that wouldn't be doable, I would just buy 2 parking passes for 2 days and park at the lower parking lot that way the camp is just right there. Let me know how it goes
I see that mobile home surrounded by the river rock next to the bathroom is still there. I used to hike to Millard Falls 15 years ago and each time I'd pass that mobile home, some guy would always come out and yell at me and tell me the trail to the falls was closed. It happened 3 times so finally I hiked towards the top over him and switched down the mountain on the other side and saw the falls and it was beautiful. Then on the way back, I came back passing the mobile home and the guy came out yelling at me again. So I take it the trail is opened up access to the falls now ?? A little tip. If you continue on the hike, it leads to Dawn gold mine.
i didnt check if there was cell service, my Strava tracker tracked it all, but i don't think anyone was trying to reach me during my hike. Its maybe like 90% shaded, it feels more like a nature walk than anything. Its beautiful, you feel like u become one with nature. by the way, i took waterproof boots and just walked the streams, i had a pair of shoes in the car to change into. Happy hiking!
