Hello,
This video takes you to one of the most important archaeological sites in the Superstition Wilderness, to view ancient petroglyphs that were carved more than 1,500 years ago by the native Hohokam people who once lived here.
We hiked the Hieroglyphic Trail, via the Lost Goldman Trailhead to access this ancient site. The trailhead is located about forty five miles east of central Phoenix, near Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Things to Know:
Trail Hours: 5 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Distance: 3.1 miles (round trip)
Difficulty: Moderately Difficult
Elevation Gain: ~575
Time: ~45 minutes each way
