Around about 8:54 there used to be some exposure, good to see there's a railing there now. If you walk as far as Burra Korain, you might as well keep going and exit via Pierces Pass or Perrys Lookdown, it can be done in one day. It's easy to follow the rive down to the exit, though transport is a problem if you are on your own. Note that somehow people do get lost doing that, they interpret one of the side creeks as the river, or maybe they think it's a short cut? So it's best to take a map. This walk is for experienced walkers only and has been affected by the fires and floods.

I went here for a 3 day hike last week. Luke. U gotta check out minnehaha falls and the clif jump. The swimming hole is picturesque and super deep. I want to go back and dive down to see how deep it goes.

My comment seems to have gone missing in action. For some strange reason, these Falls are not all that well known but they're well and truly worth the effort of the steep climbing in and out. On top of that you get the views into the top of the Grose Valley. Good for spring or autumn walking although Mt Victoria itself never gets all that hot even in mid-summer. Parts of it are not for the faint-hearted as there is no fencing along it - or wasn't when we last visited 5 or so years ago.

The view of the Grose Valley at the top is truly magical! I agree, absolutely worth the effort of the steep climb in and out. I can feel my legs burning just thinking about it :D

The track goes down the Grose River to Bluegum Forest - quite a few kilometres. The bluegums are magnificent, and to allow them to regenerate camping was banned in the forest itself some years ago. Camping is only allowed at Acacia Flat up Govetts Creek a little way. Bush toilet there. You can go back to Blackheath by climbing up Dockers Head / Perrys Lookdown from Bluegum itself, and back along Hat Hill Road. Or you can go back up Govetts Creek to Junction Rock. From there you can get up to Blackheath via Govetts Leap via the right fork, or you can go up to Evans Head and the Grand Canyon by taking the left fork at Junction Rock. Then back to Blackheath via Evans Head Road. Or, you can cross Govetts Creek near Bluegum, and climb up the fantastic rough pass up to Lockleys Pylon, to eventually reach the Mt Hay Road, which will take you back to Leura Public School. There is another exit up Pierces Pass about half way down the Grose River from Burra Korain Flat which ends up at Bells Line of Road - no transport available - need your own car or arrange a pick up. Check out the topographical maps. I have walked all these track in my more agile years, except the bit between Burra Korain to Pierces Pass track. And, yes, yes, yes - wear a hat!! A wide-brim hat! I have been funding a skin surgeon's kids at private school for years.

Thank you for your comment! If I was heading directly to the campground (not stopping at the falls), I could probably get there within an hour or so. Enjoy your time there at the campround - it's a nice little spot!

It's a truly wonderful part of NSW, and we are very lucky! That's a very good question about the hat! I take my hat off whenever I'm filming 🤫
