I can totally understand your feelings on this, it made me cry from inside after watching link say it to his kid. I imagined my parents holding me tight and saying the same thing to me. I'd die to experience that in next birth if that's possible.

It's poignant when you consider that Link's dad was mostly absent in his life; he's said before that it was mostly Link's mom and paternal grandpa who raised him. To me, this is what it looks like when someone actively chooses to break the cycle of neglectful or hurtful parenting. Link pours love for his kids into everything he says to them and that's so sweet.

Cause Link got love as a kid from his mom which is a sweetheart. But Rhett's mom and dad are very serious people and Rhett said it before they don't show love and appreciate each other. He grew up not knowing it. I think him showing this much is showing he's trying his best.

That's why you babysit or just work with kids in a professional setting (preferably outside of schools). That way you can have fun with the kid, then send them home to the parents at the end of the day, if they are ill, or if they are having a bad day and want to misbehave.

This literally might be the most wholesome, sweet video I've ever seen on RU-vid. Y'all are such great dads. This gives me a little bit of hope for humanity. It was so much fun watching Link and Lando be silly together, and I loved Rhett's dry humor and Shepherd "directing" him. I bet Shep even came up with the whole "B+" bit himself. If I had kids I would definitely be more like Rhett, but I would want their dad to be like Link. 😄
