I am a 30 year old guy and I have no shame in admitting that I love this song. It is so catchy with a great message I wish they made music like this for kids today.
I know 12 year Olds these days need zoloft..from comparing themselves to insta models they will never look unless they fork over thousands for surgeries..while we had Hilary duff and Rollercoaster tycoon and no social media and phones until we were at least 14
I’m 36. I think Lizzie McGuire first came on when I was 12 or 13, so her music is more so the soundtrack to my high school days. I think Disney shows and DCOMS were honestly some of the purest and happiest times of my adolescence.
Kayla Empson gurrll!! I just got finished listening to "dive in " by the daughter from even Stevens. LMFAO! lol. This song makes me think of middle school, yall have no idea how LIT & FUN my middle school was back then.Ol school Disney, nick, music, TV shows, movie's ect always brings back HELLA good, hilarious, crazy WTF!, moments...this my shit till the end of time, yall jits missed out man .... =)....#mychildhoodin3:06sec #iwishicouldgoback #ilovemesumHilaryduff
I use to jam out to this cause I just loved the song... As an adult, this song is the realest shit I've ever heard in life... DAMN I miss those days! Good times man..y'all jits just don't understand how lit Disney was back then....
@@razkable its really not. The msg is stop caring about what people & society says. Dont let others tell u how to live ur life DO YOU. that msg is for everyone not just white people & 1st world.
Honestly this look still goes hard to this day, the make-up, the hair, the jewelry and don't even get me started on her shirt I've always been obsessed with it. Hilary my timeless queen ❤
This song is giving me that extra confidence to actually get out of my comfort zone and actually talk to my crush 😃 “so why not take a crazy chance?” I definitely will ❤️
@@KEIRAMEMES I talked to her and I even got the courage to tell her how I feel in a letter I wrote to her. I read it to her in person. She didn’t feel the same, and that’s okay. :) I’m proud of myself for actually doing it. I was so nervous that my heart was beating out of my chest….Hey it’s okay, one day you’ll be out there again. I know I will :)
As a young adult, this was encouraging. As a fully grown adult, it's so true! I think my kids have thought me so much. They've brought back to mind the aspect of what people think is momentary. I think we spend our whole lives learning how to just live.
You think you’re going nowhere When you’re walking down the street Acting like you just don’t care When life could be so sweet Why you wanna be like that As if there’s nothing new You’re not fooling no one You’re not even fooling you So walk a little slower And open up your eyes Sometimes it’s so hard to see The good things passing by There may never be a sign No flashing neon light Telling you to make your move Or when the time is right [chorus] Why not...take a crazy chance Why not...do a crazy dance If you lose the moment You might lose a lot So why not, why not You always dress in yellow When you want to dress in gold Instead of listening to your heart You do just what you’re told You keep waiting where you are For what you’ll never know Let’s just get into your car And go, baby, go [repeat chorus] Oh, I could be the one for you Oh, yeah...maybe yes, maybe no It could be the thing to do All I’m saying is you got to let me know You’ll never get to heaven Or even to l.a. If you don’t believe there’s a way Why not...take a star from the sky Why not...spread your wings and fly It might take a little And it might take a lot But, why not? why not?
Holy Crap. I still remember the exact days I got both 1) Metamorphosis and 2) Hilary Duff albums. The Lizzie McGuire soundtrack was the 3rd CD I ever owned. Why Not? was on repeat in my CD player CONSTANTLY. My friend was going to burn me Hilary Duff's second album but I was too impatient and went out and spent my money on it right away lol.
i remember on my maybe 9th birthday i came downstairs to eat breakfast before going to school and my mom gave me the metamorphasis CD !!! I listened to that album on repeat !!!!
I love Hilary Duff!!! Growing up as a teenager during her popular years and particularly this song has taught lots of positivities and optimism. HD rocks!!!
This year is the 20th anniversary of this song. It's crazy how much time has passed. This video takes me back to the time when the movie was new and the song would play on Disney Channel literally every other commercial.
I love this song she is off of her show lizze Mcguire and lizze Mcguire the movie and a Cinderella story and Raise your voice she look awesome in movies and shows
Back when Disney actually had TALENT. I remember seeing this music video during commercials . Member those good old songs that’s would come on? All music videos during breaks between a movie? They don’t do that now.
I wish I had lived in those times in 2000's, I was barely born when the generation enjoyed all of it, pop punk and fashion ... with Avril Lavigne, Paramore and others , movies, series and celebrities ... I love it a lot and it I enjoy 💕 How beautiful and unforgettable it would have been to be teenagers in those times 🥺🥺🥺
I used to sing this on my karaoke machine in my room when it came out 😂 love Hilary! I remember asking my mom to by me this single at KMart and it had this song, So Yesterday, and Come Clean on it. I listened to it every day, and the same week my grandma passed this album came out. My mom took me to the store and bought it. This album as helped me through so much I know the word to this day to every song. 💜
We used to sing this all over middle school, and when i first saw the video i was like WOW is that LIZZIE? Shes got some CONFIDENCE 😆 this was before I knew her actual name... This song was everywhere and SO inspiring at 13-14 years old! They tore down my old middle schools but im still here and so are the memories! Why not follow your dreams? For we may not have tomorrow!
I always loved her outfit in this music video! Lol But this song brought back so many memories from my childhood. Hilary Duff was someone I looked up to and I’m so happy I got to experience watching her on my screen growing up 💗
During my study in college.. almost every day listen to this.. Lizzie Mcquire is never replace with anythin in my list until now .. including her song This song.. is still loved to be listened 👏👍😊
I'm glad I found this video and it's in good quality too, when I went to the official channel it wasn't even there shovel along with that other song come clean which I also liked what happened did they get lost in the shuffle between the 2000 and 2010 before RU-vid was popular !?
definitely didn't just listen to this fully through for the first time in years and sang along word for word without missing a beat as a 27 year old man.... mind yo business
