Hillbilly LOSES IT reacting to REN "For Joe" 

This is Calgary Canada. When he did the song Suicide he felt that it was not complete. So he added this to the end of that song. This is also what he showed to Joe's parents when he went back for a break from his treatment in Canada. He gave them some money he had raised for Freckle Angles song to them, They bought a Camper van. He also gave money to the rescue service that had looked for Joe. There is a video from him and the news in the town showing this. Also one of there friends has opened a restaurant in the town that this happened named Freckled Angel. it is on my bucket list to visit.

He played this for Joe's parents. This song combines the last half of his song Su*cide and his song Freckled Angels...his tribute and thank you to his best friend

Great reaction, and I really like your set up, nice camera and lighting, it's nice seeing reactors that put some effort into the esthetics when making content. A lot of people aren't sure about Ren's "Sony's deal" or are quick to bash them for dropping Ren when he got sick (not that a big label isn't above something like that), but what happened was, Eric Appapoulay, who was the guitarist for Neneh Cherry, and bassist/producer for Plan B, discovered Ren busking around age 17, and started making music with him, eventually getting him a development deal through Sony, with Eric as his representative or manager/producer type role. They were about halfway done with an album and Ren was performing showcases on his own to fulfill his development deal for Sony when he started getting sick, it wasn't long before he couldn't even make it through a set. Eric was the one that told him to take some time off and go get healthy. A couple months later, when Ren realized he wasn't getting better, he called Eric and had to back out of the deal. Years later, when Ren had pieced together the other half of the album, during his rare "good days", he called Eric and asked if he could use or have the stuff they were working on before he got sick. Ren said that Eric was very gracious and didn't hesitate, and said absolutely it's all yours, I didn't attach it to any Sony stuff. Ren has said many times that Eric is one of the good guys in a sometimes cut throat industry, and says he'll always be grateful for their friendship. Sorry that was little bit of a ramble, but I could tell you're a "do your homework" kind of guy and would probably appreciate that little bit of back story I discovered not long ago. Also, one of the "lads" Ren mentions in this song, "kicking it at the peer with" opened a restaurant next to the Menai Bridge that connects southeastern Wales to the U.K., I believe it might be the same bridge, but I've never cared to confirm it, but the restaurant is also called Freckled Angels. freckledangel.com/about Again, great reaction, take care! ✌️💚

Nice reaction. The money Ren raised for the Life Boats came from the release of this song. A lot of the lyrics come from him combining his song Suic!de from his Sickboi album with his song Freckled Angels which he wrote within a few months of Joe's death. There is a live performance on his channel made just 8 months after it happened.

Ren is being hard on himself calling himself a jerk, he's not. He got a call from a friend at night telling him that Joe was on the bridge, he lived a 10 minute walk away, he ran it in 5 minutes but too late

great reaction. the freckled angels album was partially recorded with sony before he got too sick to continue. What he got permission from them to use was the completed tracks that had already been recorded; which is even a bigger deal for them to have agreed to. There are some awesome songs on that album including Freckled Angels, Dominoes, Fire, Run Away and Crutch.

Hi i think the album cover for freckled angels is photo of joe he did have freckles. I don't play this a lot as i find it depresing ren obviously so emotional on it like his live vieo of freckled angels few months after that October. regards dave

Everything that happened to joe where ren lived on anglesey was 10 mins from my house, the RNLI are an amazing charity totally donation dependent and all crewed by volunteers. It was incredibly sad what happened, the song freckled angels the album version is another amazing tribute to joe.
