5 years ago I wrecked my dream car. My supercharged L67 LN106 Hilux. This is the story of the rebuild. Follow me as I rebuild my supercharged Hilux v6 LN106 with a supercharged 3.8L ECOTEC (L67) motor. For this Hilux build, I have a new/old 1991 Hilux LN106 for this restoration project which I'll be converting with an Ecotec L67 V6 with a supercharger. The gearbox is an R150f conversion with Dyna254 5th gear.
About the Hilux or historically Hi-Lux. The LN106 is a 5th generation Toyota Hilux sold in Australia. It was sold 1988-1997. The LN106 & LN105 should be similar to RN106, RN105, YN106, N80, N90, N100, N110, VN105 & YN100 of the years 1988. 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997. It is similar to Hilux Surf, 4Runner and Toyota Pickup, Toyota Truck, Toyota Pickup Truck, SR5 or Toyota Compact Truck in the US / North America. Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela used the model number RN106 instead of the standard number LN106. Japan and Sri Lanka called it an ln107 ssRX. Some other locations include Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Peru. I suspect South America, Europe, Asia especially Thailand and Japan.
