As a hobbyist guitar player, I've been chasing his tone ever since I first heard them. Finally found out how to get it and its out of my reach (too much $$$$) LOL

Anybody else here in 2021? One of the best rock concert of the century, perhaps. Had the chance to see them in London back in 2017 for the Farewell Tour.. still shivering.
Saw them in Dallas, same tour. It was my first and last time seeing them. Such a great show. Pretty sure I got drunk and yelled “I’m not gay but I’ll SUCK YO DICK!” I don’t regret it.

I was there and we were not stupid, we were doing what we were told by HIM's management. They were recording this for DVD and didn't want too much craziness from the crowd, rather they wanted it to have only extremely good sound quality of the Band for this DVD. Not a bunch of anonymous people crowd surfing, screaming, etc...
Со всеми экспериментами Вилле со стилем:шапки,пальто,цилиндры,борода ,кепки и тд. Здесь он абсолютно красив. Ангел демонический. Звучит идеально. И видно,что сам кайфует❤❤❤
Outstanding and unbelievable performances from Ville Valo when he has severe asthma, I be wondering is he okay during his performances, he sends you on a roller coaster ride when he screams with his asthma, he be asthma attacks I his', an HIM's shows ( y'all can't hears him when he has an asthma attacks, I has excellent hearing), my man, Ville Valo be scaring me with his screaming, asthma attacks and he smokes with it,I loves& cares about Ville Valo a lots, he's my favoritest musician forever & he's my total soulmate forever.

I think this was one of their greatest shows. But definitely the greatest I've seen from Linde. He took all out of this show. He was killing it and enjoying every moment.
I was there! I'll never forget it, i've met the band and shook their hands, and i will see them for the 5th time at the house of blues in march, i love living in Los Angeles, HIM is the shit, all greatly talented individuals.
There are a lot of good bands out there, but nobody else can do that to me. Just a few notes, just a small textline and it gaves me shivers. No matter how often I listen to this, it won't change. Miss HIM so badly 🖤🤘🖤
Some of these songs sound better live than the studio version . Ville's voice is just heavenly and the band did an outstanding job . Amazing concert! One of the best
I regrettably missed the farewell tour. However, I had the honor of seeing them four times between 2007 & 2013. Even met Ville at the tour bus during the Tears on Tape tour. We were headed back to the car when a kid came running at us outa nowhere and shouted “ Ville is right over there!” We ran down the sidewalk and sure enough, there he was. My daughter who was 15 at the time nearly died standing beside him while he signed shirts & other memorabilia for fans. Even talked to one kid’s mom on the phone. Took a bunch of selfies with people. The security guard that was there told me in 30 yrs of working the venue he had never seen a performer stop a bus & get out and interact with fans. Ville Valo is truly a stand up guy.
I actually asked him the same question a while back and he told me that he did at times get his SGa for half the price and something like that, but never actually endorsed the firm itself. The model is a classic white SG standard and he swept the 98-T for a Seymour Duncan by himself. The 98-R remained untouched to my knowledge, however.
Every member of this band is underrated. They're all outstaged by Ville, but Linde is a great guitar player, Mikko is a solid bass player and backup vocalist, Kaasu is a solid drummer and a good drum tech.
Ville looked and sounded so beautiful here... I don't know how many times I've seen this since it came out but each time I get all sentimental, god I love this concert !
This got me really nostalgic, flawless. Makes me think back on the times the guys used to part time live in my city and how I first met Ville in early 2000 and seeing them so many times, going to Helsinki and all. Beautiful to come back to this after all those years.
It was because they were recording for this DVD. I was there and we were instructed to keep it calm, so that the sound quality of the music would be recordable. I was there on both nights and one day. They were recording this DVD the entire time, then they edited out a lot of it that was not recordable enough to make a great quality of DVD. Also, we were strictly prohibited to bring in signs, cameras, etc... if you got caught with one they security would take it away until after the show.
Блин,это очень круто,звук отстроен отлично,Вилле-обворожителен в своей манере исполнения и в простоте манеры поведения на сцене. Все оч стильно.....Бальзам для ушей♥️
Great concert! I cried in the end when he sang The funeral of hearts. More than 20 years have passed since I heard H.I.M. for the first time. Their music made me a personality. And still love this music, lyrics and amazing Ville's voice.
How is it possible for the whole band, especially Ville, to perform so many songs in a row; seriously, try and sing along with Ville through each of those songs; It's a helluva lot easier said than done. This band is a masterpiece and nobody will ever be able to be as good as HIM. HIM Forever!
So sad that HIM is saying goodbye this year (2017)... I can't wait to see them in just under a week, but it's a very bittersweet feeling. First and last time I'll ever be able to witness their greatness in person.
I saw them in Glasgow (Scotland) then travelled to Manchester (ENGLAND) for their farewell gigs. Wish they would get back together already! 3 years is long enough!
i have this cd and i blasted it everyday in my truck for 3 years till the cd died on me haha. i reminds me of my friend in heaven tony who got me into this band. thanks bro miss ya everyday
My brother worshipped HIM back when he was in middle school and Dark Light was still fairly recent. My dad took my bro to see them live in 07 and said he wasn't impressed due to vallo's strained voice and drunken stage presence. I think as a recovering alcoholic, seeing Ville then was probably rough to witness. But this concert was only a year later and I imagine my dad would of been blown away had he seen vallo's true potential. I mean, this concert in fucking incredible and it's hard to compare anyone's voice to Ville Vallo's. And the band was so tight and you can tell they all played their hearts out for this one.
2007 was the height of Ville's alcoholism. He went to rehab in 2008 - I believe he was just out when this was recorded. As far as I know he's stayed healthy since then - and has stayed away from Bam!
@@brigidireland Ville was already in rehab in May 2007 and was sober until 2012. You can see this clearly in the recordings of the Revolution Tour in the second half of 2007, which he not only completed sober, but also extremely slim again. By the way: Ville didn't first become an alcoholic because of Bam, he had been drinking since he was 13 years old.
@@brigidireland That's probably true. People who destroy themselves in one or another way usually find like-minded people. Kat von D described this quite well. But unlike Bam, Ville seems to have more self-discipline, at least when it comes to alcohol and his way of life.
Probably the best tour they done. My favourite band growing up. I seen them live every year between 2005-2013 then on the 2017 farewell tour. P.S. no other band will cover Wicked Game better than they did!!!
Моя дочь была на концерте в Олимпийском в Москве!Последним выступал HIM!
1:20:06 The band form Titanic... All good things has to come to and end, and HIM can't be and exception. But is so sad, they have been in so many times of my life (the good and the bad ones). I suppose that our lives will not be the same after the sad departure. My head music player will allways be playing her songs.
So, people! No comments any more, what I have just seen and watched is marvelous, one of their best from the best concerts! I guess I fell in love with him though he is not a simple person by far...
