The now infamous "page 43" is the clue Ville put into the song and was reluctant to give it away. It refers to a 1947 issue of "Life Magazine", on the page 43 of which was a photograph of Evelyn McHale in death.
Evelyn leaped from the top of the Empire State building shortly after having met with her fiance one day. She fell on top of a limousine and moments after had a picture of her dead body immortalized by a photography student. The picture was later featured on page 43 of Life Magazine. It was later reported that Miss McHale had a scribbled note in her pocket - which said that her fiance was "better off without her" and she'd "never make a good wife to anyone".

I don't get it... I STILL see those I want "Old HIM" back comments... Dude, I listen to the song and it's a 100% HIM song. Every single HIM element is still within the song and the album. It's just lighter.
@lindevolean But Ville refers to the bible as a book of poetry which it is, no matter if you believe in it or not. It's basically one epic poem, and we all know how much he loves those. It's poetic inspiration...
And plus just to add, bands go through a change of music experience without knowing it. It's not like they were "Hey let's change our music to something new!" It most likely just happened in accident...

The lyrics in This Album are so... overwhelming... I love trying To find meanings behind song lyrics, but for example this song doesn't seem to make sense at all. The lyrics are poetic and beautiful and the songs are great but so far there are only five songs on the screamworks -album, that I can say I have found out what the lyrics are about (I can't tell if I have found out what Ville ever meant to say, but at least my findings seem to have made sense somehow) The five songs I mentioned were Dying Song, in Venere Veritas, Acoustic funeral (?), Katherine Wheel (the simpliest one) and Scared to Death. I'll let you ppl find everything out yourself tho, good poetry isn't even supposed to have one certain meaning behind itself, everybody should find them themselves
Good song, but there exists a remix somewhere out there where "Scream me a dream/Untouched by shadow" is sung, not screamed. I like that version better. I find the screaming in an awkward part of the chorus that downplays the later scream before the final chorus.
@EspLovesLaneyAmps777 actually that was the reason i bought it. and i use stratocasters. i dont like sg's they feel too bulky and awkward in my hands. plus the neck is too big and i prefer a smaller neck with a really low action. makes tapping easier. as for imitating ville.... i wish i looked like him. lmao. punny.
Well to be honest they do still sound like HIM more hardcore but i still love them this album knocked venus doom out the park its simply amazing and i dont get how you people claim to be fans but so fucking picky on their songs for crist sakes either love it or dont listen to them anymore if they aint making you happy
